Seriously, Pete Samu is the only player to tuck in his jersey, pull his socks up and rip in. The bloke can cover 3 backrow positions, eat up tackles, take the Gilbert over the ad line and use his wheels to snag a try. All when a cheeky smile. What a legend!

Tom Brady on the NFL tackling system speaks volumes for the current status in rugby. There is a responsibility for both the attacking and defensive player to protect themselves. Why is it just the defensive player that must protect the offensive player?

'Can of worms': Rugby Australia introduce radical tackle law reform to protect players

Mate, All Blacks are salty! They can’t even compliment the Boks! They just hate losing haha. Such arrogance to simply talk about themselves. Barrett even compliments his own team on playing so well when it was one of their worst performances. They are unbelievably selfish! They cannot admit they played badly, nor losing to a better team hahaha. An insight into the real All Blacks. Love the highs, can’t handle the lows

'My heart breaks for him': Boks coach's message to Ian Foster is pure class as he bows out an unlucky loser

Kolisi is just as exhausted….yet clearly and quickly compliments the All Blacks… Cane had 59mins on the bench…but he’s exhausted?

'My heart breaks for him': Boks coach's message to Ian Foster is pure class as he bows out an unlucky loser

But, still, why the hesitancy to actually accept the loss and compliment the Boks by the actual All Black players? Very poor form and very poor losers…

All teams get the rub of the green. All Blacks are just used to it as it usually goes to the more dominant team. Responsibility needed to be taken by the players. It’s a shame the post match interviews by the All Blacks fail to compliment the Boks and instead waffle on about how well they played… seriously…

But was the hesitancy to mention the Boks and compliment them? I just watched Kolisis interview: he straight up complimented the All Blacks. Without hesitation. You cannot defend this. The kiwis are poor losers and cannot handle losing. I think it’s poor form to fail to even mention the opposition and applaud them for their efforts. A real insight into the real All Blacks when they lose

Even Foster is hesitant to compliment the Springboks!!! The All Blacks are salty at this loss!
Geez though, to think losing a few matches gets you moved on as a coach is brutal in NZ. You just simply aren’t allowed to lose more than a few games! 32 wins from 46 tests is still pretty good. Why is this record unacceptable for Kiwis? Why are the All Blacks not allowed to experience what every other team in World Rugby experiences: a few losses every now and then?

'Learned how to fight in a dark place': Why the Springboks are the most clutch team we have seen

Interesting: I just watched both Sam Cane and Beauden Barrett post interviews: firstly, Cane is very very hesitant to compliment the Boks, and only does so very briefly at the end before walking away. He is interviewed by a female NZer, and she avoids asking any questions about poor handling etc the interview is 53secs. Cane rambles on about how he is gutted, and compliments his own team again and again, yet you can tell he doesn’t want to compliment the Boks.
Barrett: never even says congratulations to the Springboks. Instead waffles on about his own team, how great they were (which, to a point, yes they held in there for most of the match), and then very quickly stops himself from blaming the referee. Again, never compliments the opposition. Is it safe to say the Kiwis are poor losers? I understand it’s emotional and they are upset they loss, but they are professionals. And failing to even accept the loss and compliment the better team on the day, is very very poor form, especially by Barrett.

They tried but geez the skills were shocking. They weren’t exactly lighting the field up. A few magical passes, but ball handling was terrible!

It’s tough being a referee. Again, your last match you officiated was…?

Rub of the Green usually favours the more dominant team. It happens in every sport. I agree with you. Rugby is a fast game and it’s getting bogged down as of recent with more and more stoppages. Just bloody well get on with it haha

'So many s--t emotions:' Distraught Cane says he'll have to live with red card pain 'forever', Foz questions Kolisi escape

So the numerous dropped passes, poor ball security, lost set pieces, poor kicking, wayward shots at goal, and blown opportunities aren’t to blame either, just Barnes one decision? You did well to keep it to a one point poss and had many many MANY an opportunity to win it. But that’s OK, blame the ref 🙂

100%!

Look, some say it’s a problem. Let me say it like this: the Springboks have perfected the art of basic points rugby. Perfect the kicking game, win and hold territory, play for a penalty and tick the scoreboard over. Even you have to admit the game plan was not about scoring tries, which is what alot of people want to see. It was merely taking penalty kicks. Kicks that will win a match. The only attempted tries were broken passages of play, but no tries. Is this style boring? Yes. Does it get them a win? Yes. What is more important: scoring tries in a losing affair, or kicking penalties and winning the RWC? The latter, obviously.
Chill out my friend 😉 they won and congrats to them

That’s the Kiwi approach right there: they are accustomed to getting the rub of the green, and especially for hometown home officiated matches. They are accustomed to being refereed a certain way involving an anything goes policy at the breakdown.
Barnes at least apologised. Players and fans complain

Wish we had a still shot of Sam Canes tackle on Kriels face as a comparison to the Kolisi tackle on Savea. The latter doesn’t look bad at all…

Neck grab as he missed the clean out and was a desperate attempt to get him off the ball. He then rolled into his leg. Poor and lazy and deserving of a card. If it had happened to Codie Taylor…

Was a fast paced game. And your last rugby match you officiated was…?

Wow, to assume I’m anti Saffer is incredibly quick to judge someone. I wanted the Boks to win over the All Blacks as they had the tougher schedule and pathway to the RWC. So don’t assume. Rather, discuss.

Ah, you have just stated the problem with rugby: Springbok game play. Any other team wants to run the ball and score tries. A win is a win to them, even at the expense of entertaining rugby. I understand

Players make mistakes under high pressure. So does the referee? The players rarely apologise, Barnes did.

At the very least Rugby is putting preventing head trauma and concussion as a priority. Yes it sucks, but you and I aren’t out there copping shoulders to the face. These standards have been in place for years. Players need to adapt and play smarter rugby.
But I do agree. It doesn’t help the pace or appeal of the game at times.

SBW is atrocious as a guest commentator. Brings zero analysis to the game and states the obvious (something Tim Horan already does) and is a Kiwi! On an Aussie Streaming program? Is there an Aussie on Skyy Sports in NZ? Nope. Where does his loyalty lie, Australia? Nope. Terrible selection by Stan. I’m glad my subscription ended today

Poor attempt at a clean out and he grabbed the neck and rolled into his leg, a desperate measure to move him off the ball. Call it the Swain Conundrum!
