Super Rugby Pacific round 14 continues with the game of the round as the ACT Brumbies welcome the Auckland Blues to GIO Stadium, Canberra in a battle of two of the best sides in this year’s competition. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:45pm AEST.

The Brumbies have have made four changes to their starting side for this top tier clash. Flanker Luke Reimer will join Tom Hooper and Pete Samu in the back row while the front row sees Scott Sio and Folau Fainga’a back in.

The halves and centre pairing is top quality with Noah Lolesio and Nic White at scrum half and fly half while Irae Simone and Len Ikitau continue their partnership in the midfield.

The Blues have the regular season title in their sights but will know that they are in for a very tough evening against the Brumbies in Canberra. Their line up looks to be full of talent as you’d expect but there are some key names missing. Up front in the front five there is power and experience in the likes of All Blacks Ofa Tuungafasi and Alex Hodgman with more experience ready to come off the bench when required in the form of Karl Tu’inukuafe and Nepo Laulala.

In the back row the Blues are a bit depleted with both Akira Ioane and Tom Robinson out meaning there’s a chance for Anton Segner – the 20 year old German flanker.

Reiko Ioane is missing too from the centres but the Blues will have Beauden Barrett at fly half and the league’s top points scorer – Stephen Perofeta – ready to add more to his 99 point tally from fullback.

This should be a fantastic match as both teams will want bragging rights going into the finals.

Really? I suggest you go watch it again Ash. You still haven't commented on Wright's tackle on Caleb Clarke. Don't reckon you will either.....

I know the one you mean, but RTS's hand never went near his head. You don't have an opinion on the across the neck tackle on Clarke. You are obviously a very objective viewer!!

Hi Dahl… no penalty try at all there was another blues player right there. I thought he should have got a yellow based on the refs being so card happy these days but also see why he didn’t.

Statistically Booby V is not the best forward in Aus rugby. That would be Harry Wilson.

Interference on the ground was a regular occurrence from both sides.

No doubt! There’s people who are bad at their jobs everywhere! Yep regular poor execution of their jobs, they should be reprimanded, put a few grades lower and start again.. at least that’s what I’ve been told? But most of the refs at this level are trained, are experienced.. some more than others. But they have to start somewhere, like any new career. It has its challenges that they’ll learn from and be better for it in the future. We’d have no refs if we sacked them for mistakes.

Incompetent ref's do so much damage. Find new ones, train them. That's what we do with players and coaches !

I understand that. I don’t think “ozinsa” does though. That the opposition got over the line 5 times but only scored 2 tries might indicate they could have conceded a lot more points. It’s good play to stop it but they might have been well behind on another night.

Grabbed by the collar, didn't even touch his neck. Unlike Tom Wright's tackle on Caleb Clarke.
