The Jaguares will be looking to continue their strong start to the Super Rugby season when they take on the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld. Join The Roar for live scores from 2:15am (AEDT).

Still winless after three games this year, the Bulls are desperate to break their 2020 duck. Home field advantage will give them a sniff against a Jaguares outfit which has only won at home this year.

To be fair, last week’s 17-7 loss to the Stormers was the first game on the road for the Argentinians. The home side are coming off a heartbreaking defeat to the Blues, when an injury-time penalty sunk the Bulls by two points.

Wasn't Notche outstanding? He did a lot of flashy things (like the try he set up for Am in H2) but his work rate in the grind was top rate. The Natal 6 also had a very fine game. If I was a Natal fan and not a broken hearted supporter of the Waratahs of the north (I was going to say Auckland but they had a win) I think I would be keeping a recording of last night; 4th game on the road, 2 in NZ, some important players not in the side on an enervating, humid night and really dealing it to a pretty useful opposition forward pack.

I thought NZ could have used Laumape's go forward at times last season, against some of those powerful, rush defences but I think you are referring to Rieko and one might say something similar. NZH has had some articles about the brothers and their entourage that made me wonder if Rieko was felt to have behaviour issues off field?

Jaguares missed lots of tackles. This type of defense will cost them dearly vs SHA.

I tell you, many teams in SR would like to have a fly- half like TDB or Miotti.

IMO the current 8 is likely to be the final 8 with the order just to be decided Crusaders, Canes, Chiefs, Blues, Stormers, Sharks, Jaguares, Brumbies There is some chance with either Reds or Rebels surplanting Blues with the oz teams in the weakest conference and Blues in the hardest.

It's by far the best game next week (you could sort of, kind of, squint hard enough to put Hurricanes v. Blues at the same level, but not REALLY).

Thought he'd end up there eventually, reads situations very quickly and its now a big midfield with TJ, but the Canes and Laumape especially will test them. His forms been stunning as the big non selection for Japan last year.

What did you think about Rieko's defense? I thought did more than alright. Read the game rather well.

yes might pop along to that one here in Wellington, both teams went well tonight. If the Blues dont make their first up tackles and somehow contain both TJ and Laumape theyll be toast with the finishers they have, Aso, Lam, and others, including this SA import Van Wyck, very classy. The midfield pairing of Faiiane and Reiko looks solid, and Beaudys yet to return, Perofeta and Black doing their best to stay in there somewhere.

I agree with you on Bertranou, but TDB made good ones. Only one bad because Bofelli did not challenge the fullback. To the post TDB was really bad.

Notshe focused on 7s. Lost a little weight. STO flush with loosies (Jaco, Siya, PSDT). He knew he could start at 8 at SHA, and play SHA tempo. Good choice. STO had a bad day at the office, but still, will challenge for playoff spot.

Sharks-Jaguares next week should be a real cracker. Lots to like with both teams. Hurricanes-Blues is intriguing too. Another false dawn for the Blues or...

Sharks look more and more like the real deal. If they had fielded their Boks-wingers today, they would have blown the Reds of the park. So what happened to Notche in the Stormers? So far this season he is the best 8 in the comp and look lock and loaded for the Boks later this year. Bulls and Highlanders are two teams that clearly lacks depth in real talent this season. They can hang in there and throw a few punches but if the opponents have their bascis in order, they will struggle badly.

Bulls won’t challenge many teams this season. Looks like SHA, JAG, and maybe STO battle in the conference, but SHA have the best start.
