Been a long and gradual decline. He always had a lot of talent in terms of run and quick reflexes and beating his opponent. But I get the impression it was a kind of let Kurtley be Kurtley coaching approach. It probably should have been more about accountability and working on fundamentals of team rugby.

good call Richie  I thought similar and also that if the hammy didn't go (allegedly) he would not have tackled Powell anyway. So saved him the embarassment.

My immediate thought was he just didn’t want to make the tackle....again. Just when I thought Kurts had exhausted every way to non tackle and he comes up with this pearler, and he doesn’t have to miss a game. Genius!!

God at his wits end with Penney and taking matters into his own hands.

Disaster hahahaha The Beale injury is a big bonus the Tahs probably won't get to enjoy given the C Virus situation. But Maddocks is a much better FB than Beale so they'll do better without him imo :silly:

Could this be is the last moment we have of Beale ever playing professional rugby in Australia? A rather ignominious end to a long career of unquestionable heights as well as troughs.
