This is irrelevant. It’s not about consistency per se. It’s about how people feel at a given moment in time. Clearly Folau didn’t live up to the standards of being a team player. His refusal to engage in sordid public disgraces, drug abuse, cheeky extra-marital affairs with the wife of a teammate puts him at odds with some in the camp. It’s about meeting the standards of the team and RA.

Agree with your sentiments in relation to Hooper. Hooper was not so self righteous 4 or 5 years ago when he was quite firm in his support of Kurtley Beale who had sent lewd and offensive text messages to teammates denigrating in a sexual way Di Patston. Denigration of women seems fine in Michael Hoopers book. Who can take this mealy mouthed insincere rubbish seriously. And did Cheika and Hooper consider what would happen if Folau is successful in challenging the ARU breach notice. He then becomes unsuspended on a rather large contract and available to play. What do Hooper and Cheika say then. Made a mistake. I did not understand the question. I meant to say we would love to have him in the team. I suggest Hooper Cheika and Phipps shut up and leave contractual issues to the ARU.

Hooper and Cheika went too easy on folau. They should be livid he has been so selfish and intentionally disrupted world cup preparations. He knew what the consequences and ramifications would be but still went ahead and posted his righteous and untrue garbage. He has deliberately sabotaged his team mates tilt at the world cup and obviously has very little regard for his team mates nor the wider Australian rugby community. Hope he never dons a NSW or Wallaby jersey again.

This was a tough presser to watch. On the morning ahead of the RA statement, and still trying to support their (former?) teammate, these guys didn't have a lot of space to move.

His concern is probably what I said...

My issue is with Hooper not Folau. Is Hooper's concern is with the posts on social media or the content/belief behind the posts. If it relates to the content and Folau's beliefs then he is a hypocrite.

Could be because last year he agreed not to make them again after being warned. This year he has broken that agreement.

Really? Why was this comment not made last year. What has changed? His views were known but Hooper had no issue until after he signed his 5 year contract. Hooper suddenly has the guts to make a comment once his future is secure, I will take it with a grain of salt.
