Yep...sigh! Every time I hear a Kiwi bleat about foul play I simply remember Richard Loe - the mostly aptly surnamed player ever. An eye-gouging thug who pretty much ended little winger Paul Carozza's career with a 30 sec late elbow to the face after he had scored in the corner. For some reason so many Kiwi fans hold Loe up as one of their past great hard men. For me, he was a coward and bully, and that Carozza incident was far worse than any under-arm cricket thing (which was distasteful but technically legal at the time) that is still bleated about today. The ABs got the rub of the penalty count green in the first test - they should be happy. I recall an AB that came in from the side and used his hands in the ruck right under the posts following the Reece rebound. They got away with that one big time. They should just be thankful for the 16-16 result and stop suggesting the WBs were dirty. They weren't - they just played harder and better than the ABs were expecting. Of course the ABs will be better prepared this weekend. WBs beware. Bring it on!

On the movie? I see your ass coach making more comments on NZs team selections again. What is their problem. I understand the facination with who they are playing but why the constant comments on NZs selections?

There is no doubt that the Wallabies targetted Smith and Moóunga but dirty tricks ???? Nah, legitimate tactics.

No click bait-just responding to Plumtree's media statement- when the PK 14-7 in favour of ABs and 2 missed calls against Aussie which had a major impact on the outcome his response pretty average. And there would have been missed calls against the ABs but biased media releases not the best way to handle- there are in house protocols. And equally I was appalled by Chieka's airing of ref complaints

Paulo - How can you disagree that it was no longer a maul? The video clearly shows the ball is out with the ball carrying running for the gap. Then Slipper is held back. I pasted video and the time on it and you never responded. Please explain that. You are like a typical lawyer pointing out inaccuracies or minor errors to deflect from the substance. Kafer is clearly wrong as he is often, the video showing the ball is out is far more substantive than a commentator. The ball was out no longer a maul. Please show me video that disproves this.

While we still disagree, I will let you respond to NB saying it ‘might‘ have been called back... “I agree with kafer that there was nothing it since he couldn’t get to him, Kafer never said it was a maul and it was legal” - PeterK* *just a correction on this one, Kafer literally said, “It’s a maul.” “However IMO Slipper had zero chance to grab Taylor so storm in a tea cup.“ -PeterK* *correction again, it was Bridge that Slipper was meant to grab.

Paulo - Factually by law it was no longer a maul. The ball had exited the maul, THEN Slipper was held back which is an infringement. I don't think Slipper had a chance to get him i.e not material however it is interesting Nick Bishop asserted that should have been a penalty and hence no try. Stop saying he was grabbed in the maul, the ball is out and once the ball carrier has wrapped around Slipper tries to get to him and then gets held back.

Maybe it’s thinking Slipper was held back in the maul, because Slipper would have had the pace and ability to move faster than a sprinting George Bridge and plug the gal before he got there. Unless it’s Smiths grounding, tbh I think that probably warranted a review. Or Hooper coming in late with a borderline high shot/seatbelt “tackle” on a player on the ground... oops no, we don’t talk about that. (And yes, I’m in the mood to wind people up :silly: )

Wasn't it just a short time ago that the NZ coach and media called a Wallabies coach a clown for complaining about referees? Or to put it as the All Blacks would: "I'm not trying to say the All Blacks are hypocrites but I do expect people to pay close attention to what the All Blacks say about referees when other teams complain and perhaps follow their own advice".

Now now Jez, don't bring sanity and facts to the tirade. We should be focussing on the resurgence, albeit temorary at this stage, of the Wallabies, how good that is for rugby and therefore the escalation inn expectation at Eden Park in a couple of days. After that it's games at home for your lads and I reckon they could be hitting a bit of a groove by then. As an All Black fan I did not enjoy Plumtree's whinge, especially as I thought the Wallabies should have won. But for all the high-ground seeking trolls suggesting professional fouls ruling out every point the All Black scored maybe review the match and have a look at Daugunu's and especially Wilson's very late hits on Mo'unga. Both no arm tackles. It's only instances and it's only rugby but some perspective please...

“agree , only the late hit is an issue, of the clips they showed, there were others they could have shown that were worse.” ** Thanks Peter, there certainly are other clips, and from both sides I imagine. How do we protect playmakers and stop these late hits? All team are guilty so it’s not a one team. Do we start carding with zero tolerance? Especially in a 4 season series. Imagine Mo’unga or White couldn’t play this weekend because of the hits? **fixed it for you.

Hey, sorry I wrote another post that seems to be lost in the ether... It wasn’t so much the content, but the headline, the editing of the clips, and the tone of it all. Yea, what is presented is factually correct, but it’s the media spin I didn’t like - regardless of who they are painting as the villain. The way things are presented - Plumtree having a whinge and then hypocritically saying ABs don’t whinge - makes the story about that contradiction and the anecdotal proof of that is that this comment thread certainly focused on that and not much else. This could have been a story about player welfare - for both teams. How do we protect the playmakers? How late is too late? What really constitutes a ‘wrapping arm’? What’s an appropriate sanction? Instead of having a good discussion about a very topical subject, and one that is having an impact on youth participation, we just end up bickering and agreeing again. I mean, well done editors for stirring everyone up, it’s been a while since a clip has had this many comments, but come on. And again, I don’t dispute the disparity in Plumtrees comments - the way they are presented and edited. I just think this was a missed opportunity in order to get more clicks and comments.
