Wrong. No card for Hooper. He went as low as possible, wrapped his arms. What else could he have done? Kremer is yellow (or even red like with Scott Barrett in Perth, cause that was more similar). He didn't even try to make a legal clean out. He intended to do a shoulder charge
Absolutely did. He was lying around with "oh my face oh no it hurts so much" look and then got up after getting a reaction from the ref, like your typical soccer player. Hooper didn't hurt him as much as he wanted everyone to believe. I've seen too many similar clean outs to buy into it.
Compared to rugby, soccer is a ballet yet they pretend like they are dying after a minor contact. Ugh... No need for this in rugby. It belongs to soccer
Mitigation on Kremer's tackle: tackled player ducked in the last second before contact. Yellow card: CORRECT.
Mitigation on Hooper's tackle: none. Should have been a red card.
This time around the draw was more than what Australia deserved.
I still believe the Wallabies are the worst tier I team, behind Scotland, Wales and Argentina, level with Japan, and a bit ahead of Italy.
Yea, but unlike majority he got laid to commentate games so we had to listen to him.
To be fair, if you guys had to listen to me commentate... yea, it wouldn’t be pretty.
Not at all, Diego was one of the most hard fouled players of the history of soccer. I can tell you he was THE MOST . But he wasn´t a faker at all. I still do not believe how he was hard fouled in late 70´s and 80´s. it was another sport
I have not watched it live with the multi angles of the first one, looks like a miracle that he missed the head, looks ugly as he powered through JOC bending his head and neck under him like that. As the coment above from HiKa points out from the Botha days, this is a very dangerous thing and the position JoC head and neck was put into is a moment away from a broken neck. As this thread of comments started, I do not see one being worst then the other. They are either both Red or both Yellow.
Contact, not impact. If contact with the head is an automatic yellow, the game is in trouble. Mate, look at it, he went low and barely brushed the guys nose. The impact was low, not to the head. There was no actual impact with the head.
It's still 'selective' enforcement from the refs since they only penalize the spectacular ones - usually a big guy cleaning out a small guy so there is obvious movement. There is an awful lot of head high contact between the big blokes that doesn't get a second look.

C´mon, Kearns is wrong on this particular YC. I hate that of soccer, not soccer itself, but does not look like sanchez did that at all.

They are different. If Gardner thinks they are similar he shouldn't be a ref

Kearns is right. I hate soccer for it. Don't want it to become a norm in rugby
