By The Roar / Editor

After a board meeting with Wallabies Coach Michael Cheika, Rugby Australia chairman Cameron Clyne fronted the cameras for a very brief update.

Clyne has poorly managed this delivery failure. Take some responsibility and fall on your sword. No one will mourn your departure,. Just leave. Your pathetic to think you can add.value.

So you remember the part where RA left WA with no other alternative than to take RA to court when they cut off their major revenue source the Force and their funding. You cannot blame the victim that defend themselves using the only means they have or does that ruin your defence of an incompetent organisation?

Was their a Recommendation for Action one way or the other in the papers - or just data and assessments The news reports say that the RA Board papers 'stopped short of making any recommendations.....'

Yes. It was provided to the board for their review. Apparently it was provided on Friday and discussed yesterday.

I don't think the Board Papers provided a recommendation - so to be fair to the Board they then need to assess and come up with their own internal recommendation - that they would then need to ratify amongst themselves

some considerations: 1. Clyne does not like to be told what to do, so sacking Cheika can not happen until it is seen to be Clynes idea; 2. If Clyne protects Cheika then Cheika protects Clyne and they both stay in their cosy arrangement; 3. Castle will talk rhetoric but say nothing; 4. Until they can tee up a new coach they will not sack Cheika; 5. Their financial situation could be dire (they did have a full program at this mornings' meeting) due to the extended bail out program continuing with at least on SR franchise without the extra cost of a payout for Cheika and a sign on incentive for a new coach

Do you also remember the part where he Foce took legal action to prevent a decision being made? Or does that kinda ruin your point?

Remember the decision to axe the Force was supposed to take 24-48 hours that ended up taking over 6 months. If they are claiming this review will be done by Xmas I guess we will hear something mid 2020. RA has given the Australian rugby public no reason to be patient. I’m not sure which part of the boys club you see being dismantled, from where I’m sitting it looks like they are only getting more embedded.

I'm calling out all the journalists and Rugby commentators to come out tomorrow and absolutely crucify this non-event! What utter rubbish and treating the Australian Rugby public with disdain and contempt. Alan Jones, Wayne Smith, Spiro, Brett McKay, Bob Dwyer, etc looking forward to your savage critiques tomorrow!

That was pathetic! That’s the head of rugby Australia? No wonder the code is dying! You’d find more impressive people working at subway.

I couldn’t bring myself to watch the video. Where is the outrage to get rid of the board? I personally think MC should go but not before bloody Cameron Clyne.

The problem exist at the top, what companies CEO and Chairman survives the worst record in 60 years ? It is a disgrace ! A new board , an independent selector and a review of the assistant coaches is needed urgently. We have the easiest group in the world cup, make something of it !

It probably means that decisions have already been made but for various reasons the AR board aren't ready to release the details of transfer. They probably need time to actually commit and contract the alternatives before making a statement So be patient fellow roar readers Cheika will be ok. I think deep down we all already know this Looking forward to a new attitude next year regardless. I am seeing the boys club being slowly dismantled. It's all about attitude. I think we do have the players. Just lacking the right leadership.

Today was the last meeting of the board for 2018. There will be no announcement prior to Xmas, we will be lucky to get one prior to February.

Farcical. You can just see them "strategising" that press conference prior. ("Cameron go out, pretend to say something so "everyone's in the loop", but dont really say anything, buy us another 3 weeks and then run like a rabbit before the questions start...") He did it beautifully..
