ps. if Akira enjoys playing wider, perhaps he'd thrive playing centre ... would like to see it just once, size, speed, ability to break gain line, steps off both feet, offload ability ...

pretty sure Jordie Barret played a lot of his age rugby group at 12. Add's some gain line bulk and as you say kicking options and great hands. Also puts Will Jordan back in his natural position
I can't recall if anyone else was even interviewed? Someone mentioned Vern Cotter. It looks to me like Henry/Hanson created a dynasty that now effectively owns the NZRU. (from my cheap seat).
Ignore those sorts of numbers from the fans (the true stakeholders of the game as they say), makes the NZRU look very much like they're in the proverbial ivory tower.
Sure its not a democracy. But if you're going to say "trust us, we know what we're doing", you better bring home the bacon.
Maybe their bottom lines shrinking may wake them up.
Flush the dunny as Hansen once famously said (not that Foster is the flushable material, but the mentality :stoked: ).
Was told before the France match Razor said on radio his team for the match would be...
1. Lomax
2. Coles
3. Laulala
4. Retallick
5. Whitelock
6. Jacobson
7. Savea
8. Ioane
9. Smith
10. Mounga
11. Rieko
12. J Barrett
13. Ennor
14. Reece
15. Jordan
16. Moody 17. To'inukuafi 18. Taukei'aho 19. Vaai 20. Christie 21. Havilli 22. Dmac
Said J Barret a natural 12 who can kick off both feet and a physical presence at 6,5 98kg.
Razor you have your work cut out trying to get your AB stars to ‘unlearn’ the crap they have been coached over the last 4 months.
Still if anyone can do it I’m sure you can.
And therefore a terrible fit for the All Blacks. This is not a "win some, lose some" team. Foster is trashing the greatest sporting legacy there has ever been.
Better that than say, "Yea, I have no idea, mate."
That's a really bad look. Razor already has the people behind him, and those that were on the fence are likely moving to his camp now. Two losses in a row is hard to go into the offseason on. It's all that will be remembered.

Yea he was the nz u20 12 and has stated it was his preferred position before being selected at 15 due to Laumape having the 12.

I have thought Akira as a bench 12 would be an interesting move and provide great impact

A few million people judging by online comments. Not the right ones though unfortunately.

Why the NZRFU thought he wouldn't be is the conundrum

Of course, he does. He's a winner. Foster has always been a mediocre loser.

Ah the old “I have some ideas, but so would never say…” line. Perfect platform to start the Cold War portion of the takeover.
