Adelaide United host Sydney FC in a crucial clash that will have a big say in the final make-up of the A-League’s top six. Follow all the action from Hindmarsh Stadium on The Roar with live scores from 7:10pm (AEST).
Sydney enter this game on the back of three straight wins, including a comprehensive 1-0 derby win over local rivals Western Sydney last Sunday.
Adelaide, on the other hand, are on a four-game win-loss-win-loss streak, including a 1-0 defeat of Melbourne Victory the weekend prior.
A Reds win would draw them level with the Sky Blues on 41 points, while a Sydney win would help them lock up second spot on the ladder.
Kick-off time: 7:10pm (AEST)
Venue: Hindmarsh Stadium, Adelaide
Live stream: Kayo Sports, Foxtel Now, Foxtel Go, MyFootball Live app
Betting: Adelaide $3.25, Sydney $2.06, draw $3.50 (odds via PlayUp)

I'm talking about finishing. SFC opened most side up this year, but couldn't finish, now we can finish. We never had problems creating chances.

were close? so you dropped out already he's not even the best young defender at Roar, let alone the country.

That will be a herd pass, the club never recruits lower league UK players. Were close to signing the best young defender in the country though, Adelaide born Courtney-perkins :stoked:

Andy - maybe you should be hoping that the decision makers at Brisbane Roar believe your observations and who knows? you may get that useless pair , Aldred and Gillesphy becoming available to build up your teams defensive capabilities !!!!!!!!!!! Cheers jb.

Adelaide were pretty poor tonight which is a result of relying too much on youth.

Adelaide had shit defence.

If Sydney FC had the finishing like they did against Adelaide all year, we would have been challenging Melb City much closer.

Young players don't know how to manage their injuries, Oldder players know how & when, love youth but can't beat experience. Hopefully these young players go & get better & play for Socceroos.

Sydney FC do seem to have the ability to keep the majority of their squad fit for the whole season – I used to think it was luck but they have done it for years now so they must be doing something right with those wheelie bin ice baths or massage tables or the half a dozen schooners and a ciggie after the match.

I'm sure east coast bias can be shoehorned into this result somehow

You’re a Sydney fan right? Imagine your strikers that score all your goals missing for several weeks? So that’s bobo, Le fondre and barbarous losing several goals. Imagine your centrebacks and full backs missing weeks for Injuries and suspensions? Your whole back 5 has been in tact virtually all season. Imagine your central midfield missing for weeks? That’s bratton and caceres. Sydney wouldn’t even be in the 6 Your injuries are nowhere near what adelaide has and is going through Every team gets injuries yes, but not every team has several at the same time

Poor Adelaide & poor Liverpool, I've always found all teams have injuries but only some fans complain about them.

They could

With a whole team missing due to Injuries, suspension or carrying knocks. I said the season was over for us several weeks ago

I can only assume the AFL crowd will be smaller than Mark Rudan’s USB stick. Football will be a dominant force new season, & I’m happy about that, regardless of how Fox & News Corp will try to sabotage us. We are the world game!

Had you guys in the top 6 at the beginning of this year. Sydney will take win and move on to another away game in Queensland while your team will have the luxury of another home game. It will be an interesting clash.

I only had issues with the ref and 50/50 calls which we lost 90% of the time. In saying that elsey first tackle could've been red with a different ref. It is what is, we move on to next match

Noone else could see it - what about a 2 foot, studs up lunging tackle and no red card?

Lol don’t try and compare your Injured list to ours, it pales in significance. We have not played out best Xi all season, we’ve had the most Injuries out of any team. The team who’s second in that list will finish second to bottom. The fact were still in the mix is a testament to the squad we have that nobody interstate rated before the start of the year Take your win and move on
