After a 0-0 all draw in the first leg Melbourne City and Adelaide United will be searching for the knockout blow in their A-League semi-final. Join The Roar for live scores of the second leg from 2:05pm AEST.

Adelaide United have the better recent form with four wins from their last five games but City held their own at Cooper’s Stadium and they’ll have plenty of confidence after the Adelaide stalemate.

Back at their home ground City will be looking for a bit more luck after Andrew Nabbout struck the goal post earlier this week.

Of course Adelaide will feel like they’re also due a bit of luck after a controversial penalty non-decision.

Adelaide United are undefeated against Melbourne City in their last four fixtures and despite being away from home they will want to make a mockery of being rank outsiders for this one.

Ryan Kitto is set to play his 150th appearance in the A-League while teammate George Blackwood is poised to bring up his century. As well as a grand final spot, it’s the extra incentive United has to get the job done for the club and the player milestones.

City will want to spoil the party and as the defending champions they know a thing or two about handling pressure.

We’re set for a beauty in the nation’s sporting capital.

1st leg result:

0-0

You can't criticise Redwig. He is the type of supporter every club needs. He is seen at most away games from Campbelltown to Perth and he is an unbiased supporter, unlike some other Adelaide supporters we know!

Big win for the A-league with the grand final now getting some sort of crowd. The Adelaide contingent was lucky to be 50 there, and included Ronald McDonald and his sidekick. Do they have to cut to the pair every 5 minutes as well, the ugliest looking pair on TV I have seen.

I thought Tilio made a huge difference when he came on. He seemed to provide the spark that had been missing.

Mclaren ended his goal drought with the match winner. Adelaide had a good run but the experience of Melbourne City paid off. Sets up intriguing Grand Final. I reckon Prijovic will cause Kisnorbo some sleepless nights between now and next Saturday.

Hopefully Adelaide's new sponsor can hold this squad together and put a few on long contracts. Gauci for a start - getting ready to take over as a replacement for Ryan.

Great season from Adelaide - Gauci, Bernardo, Yengi, Irakunday, Brooke, Goodwin, etc - great team. Carl Veart or Aloisi for coach of the year. Should be a great grand final next Saturday. Hope Channel 10, Paramount, FA and APL make it a big day.

It’ll be John Aloisi verses his old club. The little team against the powerful CFG. The city of Melbourne will be buzzing for the next week. Bring on the derby! Football reigns supreme.

Made to work for it, but City through to the final. In the end, Adelaide's much heralded young stars were found wanting a bit when the game was on the line. City's greater experience shone through in most of the 30 min of ET.

A Melbourne derby grand final. It had to happen! David verses Goliath. ... Unless Adelaide have other ideas. Penalty shoot out?

The short pass and hold the ball from corners, etc usually doesn't work. Go for goal.
