NRL star Semi Radradra is alleged to have assaulted his former partner numerous times over an eight-month period dating back to 2014.
Police are investigating the accusations after his ex-partner, Perina Ting, made a statement at Rosehill police station on Tuesday.
Ting has applied for an apprehended violence order against Radradra.
“A 26-year-old woman attended Rosehill Police Station, and reported that her partner a 24-year-old man, assaulted her on a number of occasions between September 2014 and April 2015, at their home in Parramatta,” NSW police said in a statement.
The latest revelations come after the 24-year-old was a no-show at Parramatta training on Wednesday and was instead granted yet another extension on his Fiji holiday to deal with personal issues.
Radradra was expected to return from his club-sanctioned trip last Sunday, however it has been widely speculated to be considering walking out on the NRL to pursue a move to French rugby.
His manager George Christodoulou had earlier guaranteed his client would not only be back to take on Cronulla in an NRL fixture on Saturday, but promised he would also serve out the remainder of his current contract.
Radradra’s current deal finishes at the end of the 2017 season.
Eels players insist they are happy for their troubled teammate to walk straight back into the line-up to take on the Sharks despite missing a large chunk of their preparation.
“I think he’s in the best three players in the world at the moment so if he wants to turn up and throw the boots on and walk out, I’m happy with that,” prop Danny Wicks.

Greg Inglis is not being paid a million dollars a year because he is the best fullback in 2016 though. He's being paid that based on a decade of consistent, exceptional performance at the top level. Which brings the expectation that he is able to maintain that same performance in the future. Based on the fact that at the time Semi signed his contract, he had something like 20 games or NRL experience, it's a pretty decent contract. How many players have signed for deals of much more at that point in their careers?

Nah m8. He's underpaid based on his performance at the time he signed the contract. If he was worth more, somebody else would have offered more. That's how free markets work.

That might be true and honourable for Semi, but he and his manager should do things more honourably, and not make the NRL into a joke. He should honour his contract with the Eels and/or negotiate an exit of that contract and not allow this thing to be made into a circus like its been made into! Most people are over 'Semi Radradra' his manager and Fiji, lets get on with the NRL, SOO which are more of a circus than anything that Semi adds to it. lol

Personally I hope he has not done anything to his former GF. That would be awful. However I question her timing on the cusp of him getting more money and the fact that the supposed issues occurred between September 2014 and April 2015. The girlfriend has only made the accusations yesterday. Again I hate violence against women but this seems odd. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds

Semi gets paid $365k in australia...sounds high? well Greg Inglis gets closer to a million...so the best winger in NRL is not worth as much as the best fullback?..anyways semi will earn $35k per game in France...and Radradra has been offered $463,860 a season to join Bordeaux....ppl forget he has a large family, not like those other league players who only have a wife/GF and a kid or 2.. he probably shoulders close to 20 people if not more....so ppl should think next time they call a fijian playing in australia greedy...Greed would be owning multiple cars and house...not one 4 bedroom house which flew away during hte recent hurricane with 20 ppl living in it and one pickup truck.
