Nadi is no longer a good side, they should have played Suva instead..Nadroga is our moist talented local team so i was sure they would lose to them..

Fiji failing to close the gap with the world's big teams

Samoa pulled out of PIRA (the Pacific Islanders rugby team which played every 2 years) because they wanted their own tests even though they didn’t seem to win many, Fiji and Tonga wanted it to continue…so now Fiji comes up with the idea for a super rugby team, it does not need the backing nor the support of the samoa rugby union.

Ben Ryan working on getting a Fiji team to Super Rugby in 2018…Hopefully our pathetic FRU will back him up.

Fiji failing to close the gap with the world's big teams

Sassen is infact our 4th choice hooker, the 3rd choice behind Koto and Tuapati was 31 year old Sireli Ledua who pulled out because of job commitments (he may earn a lot more working this month than playing for Fiji)

Fiji failing to close the gap with the world's big teams

Yeah Fiji does not need wingers, we got them in spades, what we need are hookers, number 8, playmakers and midfield options (12) and possibly even a fullback..Losing those players you mentioned is not a big deal for us, they were wings or centres..another issue is coaches, we have not had a decent coach since Brad Johnstone in 1999.

Nonsense, Guildford felt this was the best time to return to NZ Rugby and play in the ITM Cup so that he can make the Crusaders next year (which he will) because crusaders would lose not one but 2 wingers after this season in Nemani Nadolo who is headed to Top14 in France and Johnny McNicoll who will join Welsh side, Scarlets….A back 3 of Guildford, Dagg and Macilai next year looks promising..

Taqele Naiyaravoro returns for Waratahs, sends Zac Guildford packing

Semi gets paid $365k in australia…sounds high? well Greg Inglis gets closer to a million…so the best winger in NRL is not worth as much as the best fullback?..anyways semi will earn $35k per game in France…and Radradra has been offered $463,860 a season to join Bordeaux….ppl forget he has a large family, not like those other league players who only have a wife/GF and a kid or 2.. he probably shoulders close to 20 people if not more….so ppl should think next time they call a fijian playing in australia greedy…Greed would be owning multiple cars and house…not one 4 bedroom house which flew away during hte recent hurricane with 20 ppl living in it and one pickup truck.

Assault accusations levelled at Radradra as ex-partner seeks AVO

ROAR is sooo behind when it comes to ‘non-australian’ rugby…..

Fiji vs Georgia: International rugby live scores

kek, yeah and u are an example of whats wrong with league..

Is Semi Radradra really leaving the Eels?

Top 14 runs 11 months a year, the players get a month breaks (between June-August depending on when the previous season began)..some return to the islands and don the national jumper for the PNC… some don’t bother..i don’t get how he signed a 9 month contract? ..btw, next season starts in August, he can basically plays 3 more games for Eels before going to france..

Semi to play one more game for Eels, then head for France: Reports

League has the worst fans, koroibete got the same rude goodbye by fans..these fans do not understand that nearly all ‘real’ fijians in NRL all have a rugby union background.., they were poached from union so going back to union is not turning their back, its just they are no longer walking back to front….that said, Radradra is not leaving NRL, he is the highest paid fijian in NRL, at the very best he will earn the same amount in france..unless he joins toulon then he can get as much as €1m per season..that said, Toulon dumped the best winger in the northern hemisphere in Napolioni Nalaga because they had no space for him, why would they open one for Radradra?.. Nalaga has a much better strike rate and all round defence..radradra does not…more chance of them signing nalaga then getting radradra.

Is Semi Radradra really leaving the Eels?

No but i know Sisa personally and he told me he was paid really poorly at Storm and wanted to go to France while playing for that club but held on due to family commitments..

Update: Parramatta Eels deny reports of Radradra walk-out

Semi is paid well in parramatta, i can bet you that he won’t leave..of all the fijians that played NRL, he is is the highest paid..sisa waqa left cause storm refused to top his salary and instead paid out more to the others in storms backline, he went to raiders but decided he can earn twice more in france playing union (his background), same for his replacement Koroibete..if vunivalu has an ounce of brain, he would leave too… storm underpays Fijians, its a FACT….eels have never had a fijian so if they chopped off his salary, he might get pissed…unlike other NRL players, he needs the money, he has a huge family to feed back home…

Update: Parramatta Eels deny reports of Radradra walk-out

it gets harder for fiji next week

Fiji vs Samoa: Pacific Nations Cup live scores

CLL was missing the whole of the last game..i didn’t even notice he played…i’m with cheika, we need to see how the samu-tev midfield will work before we start 2nd guessing..

Cheika backs Kerevi, Kuridrani in 2nd Test

Folau is a weak defender in comparison to Kuridrani…Folau will miss 2/3 tackles so is a liability at 13…but at fullback when and if someone breaks the line, he is good on one-on-one defence…so a better option defensively at 13..maybe the coaches can use him at centre when australia is on attack pushing kuridrani to fullback but shift back to normal when australia are on defence..

"Samu had a very fine first Test": Larkham lauds Kerevi

Keep the KK midfield, it works, keep a wing/outside back on the bench (hunt perhaps), start folau at 15, with DHP and Naiyaravoro on the wings, yes its relatively inexperienced but England were able to bully every backline player bar kerevi and kuridrani..the wallabies need their own nadolo/savea in the backline..give kerevi a lot more ball, Australia lost cause a few palyers had too work 2wice as much in defence which..losing horne so early just weakened the defence..moving kerevi to wing weakened his game a wing (he is a bustling centre, not a ranging wing) ..foley is tiny so can be bullied, get Lilo in early and frisby…

Roar Forum: What changes should the Wallabies make for the second Test?

would have been by 9 if BAI didn’t miss 2 conversions..

Fiji vs Tonga: Pacific Nations Cup live scores

lol, yeah but the issue is that unilke conrad smith or Nonu, SBW isn’t getting better, Conrad was hitting top form by the time he was 32, he still was in top form when he last played at the RWC before going to france.. Brad Thorn played ‘rugby’
for over 20 years, he barely rested and even went in and out of the All Blacks in a few occasions.. Robbo changed attacking rugby for England, a country which only cared about safe play and goal-kicking, he made it interesting….it allowed other attacking stars to find their place back when england only used trialled and tested players..Eddie Jones was right about Sam Burgess, he did not fail because he was poor, he failed because he did not try hard enough…Ben Teo did and now he has the chance of being a 50cap England player if he wanted too..its about commitment and right now, SBW is committed to 7’s…but I do see him being named in the NZ squad in November (on merit)..and I do think his boxing career might be better than his rugby one..if he chooses..

After 2019, SBW should move into the forwards

lol yeah, i was thinking they were playing the lions…nevertheless Luther burell and Ben Te’o are known for their ferocious running, especially teo considering his league background.. Horne would bea sitting duck

Pick your Wallabies team: Who should play in the first Test against England?

Horne has had a bit too many concussions this year so running him at 12 is not a good idea since Dr Roberts loves to run thru his opposition, Horne on a wing is a better idea… I prefer Tev and Samu in the midfield..I know this means only one playmaker, but who needs 2?, we have lilo on the bench for cover..having 2 against wales isn’t necessary, having 2 against a Southern Hemisphere team is..Cheika and the tahs coach should work on developing Folau as a playmaker, he has the best skillset to double as a playmaker..in previous years i would have gone for AAC..but yes without beale, the best option at 12 is Kerevi..

Pick your Wallabies team: Who should play in the first Test against England?

SBW achieved too much too early..with NRL then top14, then super rugby and then winning 2 RWC…so now he has set his sights on Olympic gold..don’t blame him..i don’t consider him “Great” either, i consider him “Lucky” …Jason Robinson and Brad Thorn are the only 2 converts i consider ” GREAT”…..

I think he would make a good 6, not GREAT, but good 6…he would be like 34, so one or 2 seasons in the forwards before he calls it quits..he can Box till he is 40 or even over if he remains fit..

After 2019, SBW should move into the forwards

you forgot Nakarawa? thats a poor team without him..

Hayne named in Fiji's extended Rugby Sevens squad for Rio

If Ryan can mold Hayne into a forward, he might be able to replace Semi Kunatani who has been unfit at this level for a while now..If Hayne can cover forwards, rover and wing, he can be an asset, he has played stand-off (play maker[6]) in league, which means he could also double as a playmaker..The best way for Hayne to remain with the team and make the Final 13 is to try to become a utility..nearly eery player in the fiji 7’s team..actually, all from the last 2 legs were utilities…

Firstly, he needs to get his grip back, NFL ‘handeggs’ are tiny, rugby balls are bigger, infact Rugby union balls are slightly bigger than rugby league balls…then he needs to work on his speed, i believe once he gets his speed back, his footwork will return and finally, and most important of all, he just needs to learn the basic laws, not all laws, just the basic ones…He did a few “rugby league” moves in the few minutes he played for the 7’s team..he just needs to learn to not drop on a player after tackling them, release them, get back to his feet as fast as possible and from his own side, grab the ball, spread his legs, bend his knee and hang on….if he really wants to be a 7’s star, he should start watching youtube videos by his ‘7’s favorite’, William Ryder…..Hayne has the class to be like Ryder, the question is, does he have the will to do so?

Hayne named in Fiji's extended Rugby Sevens squad for Rio

yeah Ngatai and Fekitoa will be the mid field choice from the 2nd test onwards, crotty and fekitoa in the first game..Crotty is a great defensive player, Ngatai a good attacking player so if NZ beats wales comfortably in the first test, expect ngatai to take over at 12 and stay there, Tamanivalu is too early, he still needs a few ‘lower level’ tests before he can play higher ranked teams, same maybe for D McKenzie

naholo and Savea will be starting wingers with dagg on the bench and dagg moving to fullback mid 22nd half with naholo subbed and ben moving to right wing….Ben is vice captain so he is likely to play all 80mins..
