The Broncos have stood down emerging forward Teui Robati after he was charged with one count of sexual assault following an incident in Brisbane last week.
Robati will face court next month after being charged last Saturday following the alleged incident that took place on December 21.
It is alleged that Robati inappropriately put his hand on a female patron.
The NRL Integrity Unit was notified by the club and is monitoring the situation.
Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy, said: “We have accepted TC’s position in standing down from all club activities.
“There is now a legal process in place and that needs to be respected and adhered to.
“We fully acknowledge that this is a serious matter and as a club, we are strongly opposed to any situation that involves the intrusion of personal boundaries with members of the public.
“The board and I will review the matter further following TC’s court appearance in January.”
The 21-year-old second-rower made his NRL debut in 2021, playing 10 games, before suiting up for seven more last season.
If available, the New Zealand-born prospect is likely to be part of Brisbane’s first-choice line-up in 2023 as a bench forward.
He came through the Broncos Academy and development pathways and impressed the club to such a degree that he signed an extension through until the end of 2024.

You need to be able to distinguish between driving offences and tardy library returns from violent crime and sexual assault. No violent criminals or sex offenders in my work place thanks.

Are you suggesting unaffected people can now choose to judge others on the severity of their crimes and impose further punishment ? So employers should be able to blacklist people at their discretion ? I don't like people that run red lights , you're gone , and you , the drink driver , gone too , how about you yes you , the one that didn't return the library book on time , goneski boy , you're outta here . Sounds like you've stumbled on a judicial diamond right there.

Ramsey could go one of two ways. Have this condition coming on so strongly, that he’ll never play this sport again. Have it now , but it’s not affecting him too badly as yet. So could perhaps play some sport , whilst being treated . League is full of big hits , including on the lower torso . Ulcerative Colitis can involve a lot of going to the toilet too. Can you play league while suffering this condition?

  because no police force or it's members have ever been found to have questionable integrity have they ? Like I said , get a big plate full of reality into you .

You are an absolute twit of the highest order. At this point in time you are questioning the integrity of the police force. Grow a brain

Not everyone wants to employ and/or work beside violent criminals and sex offenders.

Take a break from your world of fantasy, and indulge in reality for a bit, because that's exactly what happens in the real world you flamin drongo.

A two tiered system of punishment, with employers acting as vigilante courts ? Sounds like a big step forward in the handing out of justice ,,,,NOT !

My comment was in response to you suggesting it could be something as trivial as " pinching someone's butt" . And if that was the case , I think human beings should be and still are capable of sorting that kind of behaviour out amongst themselves , without involving the police , the courts and the media.

Absolutely. But . I do get the no fault stand down policy. Having a person play , who is subsequently convicted of rape or serious assault is not tenible. The current policy is OK . Players need to still train , be paid, be supported by their club but I don't think they can play with serious charges hanging over their head. Still the way they handled Stewart was deplorable.

That is the law but dropkicks like Gallop and Paul Kent had the poor bloke guilty until proven innocent. Their appalling behaviour, no doubt, stained the guy’s reputation irreparably.

Fully agree, if the courts find him guilty then he doesn't get to play anymore. Hopefully there is no grey area, released on a technicality type stuff. Happy new year to you too :stoked:

I fully agree. But if these guys are convicted, the NRL should punt them. Happy new year mate.

What if he was walking through a crowd, was reaching through a gap and was bumped and accidently touched her breast. Probably should wait until the court hears the evidence before we lynch the guy.

Hey Scott. Haven't heard anything about Amone lately, whether he's going to be stood down, unlike Robati. What's the latest with Cody Ramsey, is he improving?
