The AFL’s two winless sides do battle as the Adelaide Crows and the Fremantle Dockers clash at Metricon Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:05pm (AEST).

Adelaide are in the midst of a horror start to the season – one that will almost certainly end up being on the of the worst in club history. They were competitive against the Swans in Round 1, but have been dominated in all three matches since and have scored a combined 110 points in the process.

Fremantle may also be 0-4, but they’ve been far more competitive than their opponents. They fell to Essendon by just six points in Round 1, while their losses to Brisbane and Gold Coast were by just 12 and 13 points, respectively. However, they face a huge challenge trying to secure their first win without the injured Nat Fyfe.

The Crows have won four of their past five matches against the Dockers, including last year’s only meeting by 17 points. This is just the third time Adelaide have started a season 0-4, with their worst ever start being 0-6 in 2010.

Clearly nobody is as bad as the Crows at the moment. They keep finding new ways to be bad, unfortunately. Up until now, their have at least kicked more goals than behinds in each match, but not yesterday. If they had managed a couple more of the eminently kickable set shots in the first half they could have actually salvaged the game, but no.

Perhaps not as bad as the Crows. Just noticed they’re averaging 43 points a game. That’s fairly exceptional.

As a fan of the team currently anchored to the bottom of the table, that's encouraging.

I hope Crows don’t have some anomalous magically good game against us. All we need is Tex to kick 6 against us. Hopefully Eagles continue to prepare hard, and not assume it will be easy. Crows will be desperate for a win. Danger game if Eagles drop this one.

Unfortunately teams much higher up the ladder frequently put on the same level of display.

So you have added Dunstall on your list of ex players inferior to your knowledge .

Don’t make things up Don. No one called for Logue to be dropped. Even the coach acknowledged that Brayshaw, Tucker and Cerra have been down. One good game against the worst team in the comp.is not good enough but hopefully it is a start. As he said Blakely, North and Valente are breathing down there neck.

They're 17 and 18 for a reason.

If I hadn’t followed this game for forty years already I wouldn’t bother. As it is I found myself pre-Covid following more NBA, NHL, EPL and NRL and less AFL.

Actually its been that way for a while. AFL is officially dead and the NRL goes from strength to strength. I don't even bother watching the AFL anymore. There needs to be an inquiry maybe even a Royal Commission into the demise of the AFL.

Yep AFL has now become less appealing to watch than rugby. Which is really sad.

Mundy and Brayshaw have been fine.

At least 13th and Jonboy won't be calling for Brayshaw, Tucker, Logue and Darcy to be dropped this week. Once again, Darcy dominated stoppages. His follow up body work is outstanding. Gave Mundy some excellent pathways.

I wished Lara Hyams did sport. She's the most fabulous West Aussie who has ever lived. DK gets an honourable mention along with Dr Ric.

Good to have the win and happy to see more goals than points from Freo. Looks like JL is putting some work into the goal kicking at least. Other than that it was a pretty frustrating game but we’ll take the win. It’ll be nice to play a home game eventually.

Just the opinions of people like us...but they don't get the game. If you listened to Jason Dunstall today, add him to the list of those who no longer get it. Contests always take different shapes. Sometimes it's pretty, sometimes it's pretty tough. I'll guarantee every ex-footy player who now commentates would struggle in the survival conditions of this season.

now pts keep it civil, u love to stir the pot so u gotta expect a bit back occasionally. u know nothing about my standards so u dont need to be speculating about how low they may be .... personally a game between freo & the crows didnt look too appetizing to me & i didnt expect much from it, & thus had little interest in it... i know u think reduced numbers is the magic bullet to reverse this low scoring trend, i dont share that view, but i dont feel the need to keep telling everyone about it... despite the tiges well documented difficulties for 37 years think theyve won as many flags since 1981 as your beloved pies, so u dont have too much to crow about.

So you think this score line is acceptable Sven? Your standards are clearly lower than mine. No surprise from a Tiger fan after 37 years in the wilderness!

Yep footy is on great shape according to some in here. 16 a side or less is coming. Not this year, but soon. https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi-o-Onv7XqAhUT4zgGHe5gBvkQFjAAegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theage.com.au%2Fsport%2Fafl%2Fhow-footy-turned-ugly-20200703-p558ps.html&usg=AOvVaw3vpV4g-ydksicA-dKL3-NT
