Round 16 begins with a blockbuster at the Gabba, as Richmond head north looking to continue their surge towards the top eight against the powerful Brisbane. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:20pm (AEST).
The Lions sit third on the ladder and look every inch a premiership contender, especially at their Gabba fortress.
They haven’t lost at home since Round 23 last year, a streak which includes their thrilling elimination final win over the Tigers last year, and will be confident in continuing their unbeaten run in 2023.
The Tigers, meanwhile, are back in business; since Damien Hardwick resigned, caretaker coach Andrew McQualter has led them to three wins in four games, including an impressive victory on the road against Fremantle.
With Marlion Pickett back in the team after a one-week absence following the pressing of charges by WA police, the Tigers have a strong enough team to cause an upset and move ever closer to an unlikely finals berth.

WC are breaking records for the wrong reasons & it’s not the coaches fault. Personally the blame is on the hard surface they play on. Internally stuffed until they rip up that rock they play on week in week out. Condolences to Nics & Doc it’s hard to watch.

Where are you playing WCE? If it's in Brisbane you might win by 300 points.

That was last year or the year before Dingo! Just a shame Tigers won your Premiership in 20 when it was handed to the Lions on a platter due to COVID and your performance against the Cats was just as insipid. Greatest Premiership of all Time!

People forget they dumped on Leppitsch, who the Tigers picked up and he joined forces with McRae, then the Lions cried to the AFL who bailed them out with added draft picks.

Richmond had 2 decades of been laid into with steel cap boots. You guys have had 12 months, seriously! And by the way don’t throw stones, you obviously haven’t looked at the draw, because your mob are going to the Gabba next week!
