Hawthorn welcome back James Sicily from suspension as they look to upset premiership contenders Brisbane at the MCG. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:45pm (AEST).

Sicily’s return comes at a badly needed time for the Hawks; best afield in their win over St Kilda a fortnight ago, his absence saw the rebuilding side flogged by Port Adelaide in Round 12.

He’ll have his work cut out for him against a Brisbane outfit fresh off last week’s bye, who welcome back a key defender of their own in Jack Payne from concussion.

The early signs are good. Won’t be expecting too much until 2025 so he’s got time on his hands. Clarko had lost his touch in the last few years at the Hawks and looked burnt out, and the recent sagas have taken its toll by the looks.

Really pleasing. Not sure, l like Bramble and l have been critical of CJ this year. Made a few key errors in key moments by doing way too much. Bramble seems to play his role and does what is required of him. CJ needs to slow it down a bit and think his way through rather than trying to do the fancy thing. Hopefully he can get back to his form last year.

Reckon Clarko won’t come back.

Nice win today Dean. What are your thoughts on bringing CJ into the team to play on the wing for Bramble?

Yeah mate, I agree we all have different tastes and that what makes life interesting and beautiful. Alastair is definitely one of the better ones for me, I enjoy his commentary.

Nicholson is a Tassie boy and is a natural sports pundit. One of the very best in a thin crop. Kelli cops it but is no worse and certainly better than most of the nuffy blokes.

That’s alright we all have different tastes, l just like her play by play more than most. I like Alastair Nicholson also but probably have the name wrong.

Sam Mitchell building some real credibility as a newbie coach - definitely looks like the real deal. Conversely, there's some interesting media discussion emerging that North might be better off with Ratten rather than Clarko.

Nice win Hawks. They’ve looked good in the games they’ve won so far. Consistency will come over the next couple of years with experience and maturity. Like watching teams not afraid to take the game on.

He usually tries to kick them around the corner when he is dead in front. That gives an excuse if he misses. Is it too late in his career to find the correct technique in kicking for goal and just focussing on that?

The Hawks continue to be one of the most watchable sides in the AFL. Great win! The Lions? Really disappointing. Would need two home finals to be any chance of advancing to the Granny and then . . . this is what you'll get from 'em. Now to tonight. Watch an AFL match featuring Fremantle or the Aussies playing India? No brainer really. Test cricket it is.
