That may be so, but saying that York Park (UTAS ) is a terrible venue is a bit tough.

Sadly Chug, Bellerive oval has NO parking, sea on one side houses on the other. It also excludes 1/2 the population of Tas. ( Northern, Eastern & Western ) Even if people were willing to travel four hours from Burnie, Devonport etc. to Hobart they would never find any accommodation.

VICboy, for your information Hobart is Australia`s second dryest capital after Adelaide. Although i am a Tasmanian i am not a great fan of Hobart as a venue. But i am sick & tired of people sprouting off about Tasmanian weather. As you do not live in Tasmania you have no idea of the overall picture of our climate. MMM now about the last big name to play in Tassi, Elton John, Blondie, The Pretenders etc. ????

As a Tasmanian i am so disappointed with the choice of jumper, no imagination at all. The devils name is ok although i lobbied for the “Turbo Chooks” a truly amazing flightless native Tasmanian hen that can reach speeds of 50klm. Indeed it would be a quirky name. Sadly the conservative mob ran rough shod over the more progressive mob. 😢 👎

Agree Don, the older you get the more you tend to appreciate the game regardless of the guernsey colours they wear. In saying that we would defend our team come what may & at the start of every season no team could possibly beat us. So the mighty Sainters are going to have a great year. I gain great hope because all the “So Called experts have the mighty saints in the bottom half of the ladder as they did last year. As a side note the Dockers won`t have a bad year, will be close to the eight 😛

Well we are finally here. All teams are on a level playing field. I love the optimism that is in plenty ( sometimes misplaced) It is a great privlege to be alive. All the best for all the teams, each & every player puts their body on the line for their team. 👍

Interesting that the Saints have been in the eight for the entire season & scribes & most commentators had them in the bottom 4. & still regard them as a bottom team. I am the first to admit that consistency has been evident with their games to say the least, but sadly i feel that most of the negative feeling & comments about the Saints is just the fact that they are disliked.

Well Dem, you will have to wait another week before your dream of the Saints exiting the eight. ( I think that you will have to endure seeing the Saints play finals)

Far too much fun? Off the oval & on the oval are two different scenarios. No 1/4 given or taken. Thats the way it should be on the ground. As for off the ground gentlemen do not need to be at each others throats. That attitude belongs to a time that has passed us by. But each to his/her own. 😊
