I just watched the mini of this game. You’re absolutely right. Seriously good win. Cats might make top 4.

Average Melbourne is always rewarded.

It’s a very good case. Of course we know about Vic Bias. That can’t be stopped. Definitely we can improve umpiring.

Vic Bias PJ? Don't remember seeing your outrage from the Cats v Crows game with the "home ground bias" giving the crows 18 frees to the cats nine last week. If memory serves me correctly, the Cats had over 50 tackles and received one HTB decision. To me that was just poor umpiring plus umpires in poor position, combined with home crowd "noise advantage" which I think has a little influence on some if not all umpires. There will always be a discrepancy while the rules are open to interpretation. Maybe a 3 second rule combined with prior opportunity? Looking at the stats it looks a fairly even spread of state teams apart from the obvious bias against the Cats. :stoked:

Very interesting watching Saints v Bombers and then this match. A stark difference in quality. Can't see either of the first two playing in September, and hard to see how either of the second two miss out.

Watched this in the stands last night. It was everything you would expect from these two midfields. The difference between the 2 teams... Max Gawn. We couldn't stop him. And accurate forwards. Big Ben Brown and Fritsch kicked 5.1 between them. Also I'd really like to see Zac Butters scrap those cute 20 metre kicks after he's won the hard ball. Keep running and kick it Well done Melbourne. These away wins will put them into the top 4 again. And congrats to Jack Viney.

I had SEN on via the afl website while cleaning the pool table out back and they still had Port a chance for a draw with 12 seconds on the clock and 7 points to make up!

Good win by the Dees, especially on the road so well done to them, sounded like a good game so will hopefully catch a replay over the next couple of days, looked at the stats and looked at the scores so not sure what to make of that, will watch with trepidition knowing that a beer can might go through my TV screen even though I know the result

Statings facts about the bias in tonight's umpiring isn't whingeing. Port were the better team tonight, but they had to fight against a multi-goal umpiring advantage handed to Melbourne. That's hard to beat.

Carlton the only “big” one that matters this year. Would be an epic final or two. But of course I’m cheering for an all NSW granny, with port or the purple crup as reserves. Highest quality game this yr by far. Enjoy the win.

Thank you Andy, good call:)

Well fair enough, but you do have obviously chip on your sholder regarding Victoria so I assumed that your mob was not from Vic and in all honesty I have a strongly biased opinion on our status in the AFL not being part of the big 4 or the fortress that is Geelong so no hard feelings, I am a bit pumped and upity about my teams win ;) best of luck for 24 mate.

I actually really like the dees. Didn’t mean to take anything from them. Which is hard to claim now. Very good win.

Gee whiz mate, replay last years game the last boundary thow in was atrocious and should of been recalled, but it was not leading to a underserved port win. Suck it up Princess ys lost this one fair and square. Move on

so sad mate grow up and realise that if port were good enough they would have won that game it was close all night but the Demons were just too good early days of course and who knows what will happen for the rest of the year but whinging about the umpires is just poor so they stopped port winning I think Not
