Both the Port Adelaide Power and Sydney Swans are looking to reignite their respective pushes for the top four. Stay up to date with the action on The Roar with live scores from 4:35pm (AEST).
Port got themselves back on the winners’ list before the bye with a 50-point trouncing of the Suns, but it’s their well-documented inability to knock off the top teams that still has everyone talking. The Swans are seen as the weakest of the current top eight sides, so there simply cannot be any excuse for the Power to not emerge from this contest as decisive victors.
Sydney’s bright start to the season took an almighty whack before the bye after they were embarrassed on their home deck by lowly Hawthorn. The manner in which the Swans were outhunted around the ground would’ve been concerning for John Longmire, as he looks to keep his young charges fresh over the last portion of the home-and-away season.
Port Adelaide have won their last four matches against the Swans, which is their longest winning streak in this head-to-head.

He looks a natural footy player, definitely a midfielder. Needs to tidy up his foot skills a bit, but I'd say he looks a 200 gamer. Boaky reckons he's playing till he's 40 like Brady, so maybe not a replacement.

Not sure you can teach what Schulzy had

A solid win against a good side that is always honest. Not sure they are in the same company as the very top teams though.

Whats your thoughts on Bergmann mate,he is a interesting player I think.Perhaps we might have Boaks replacement on our list! Comparing as in he is an amazing runner as Boak is,can see him being similar to boak as in not a true inside midfielder[ollie style] but could play inside and be very good outside, apparently he is a very good mark of the football as well .Think he might be one to watch.Boak will finish a great of our club, cant replace those kinds, thinking Bergmann potentiallycould play a similar style and role in the team

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. How nerve racking was that in the last 5mins, i even dragged the gf along to the game and she was getting right into it despite the rain.lol. Not sure if its because she's starting to enjoy the footy or she's just barracking for us as she doesn't want to have to deal with me being grumpy after games.lol. good night though and good seeing Buddy do his thing, which could be the last time to see him live but can't see why he wouldn't go another year on his current form. Go Port. :silly: :silly:

I guess I'll believe it when I see it. Port has burnt me every time I've dared to dream of premierships over the past 15 years.

There is plenty of improvement in Port to come,we are doing really well at the moment.I would say that is a reason to be optimistic

I think you and I both know that Port aren't as good as their record suggests at the moment, so just using wins and losses isn't a good metric. They're 2-4 against Top 8 sides now which strongly suggests they're a second-week-of-the-finals type team at best, first-week exit at worst. I desperately want to be wrong, but they still feel a ways off the pace this season, which will most likely mean it's just another disappointing year in the end.
