The undefeated ladder-leading Port Adelaide Power face their biggest test so far against the spluttering West Coast Eagles at Metricon Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:45pm (AEST).
They haven’t played the most fearsome opposition, but the Power have taken care of everyone they’ve been put up against so far with startling ease. Their 3-0 record and percentage of 243.8 is officially their best start to an AFL season ever.
West Coast, on the other hand, can’t wait for their Queensland hub nightmare to end. Billed as the premiership favourites coming into 2020, the Eagles have been made to look second rate by both the Suns and Lions in a concerning fortnight. They need to find a solution for their malaise quickly.
The Eagles have dominated Port of late, winning six of the last eight clashes and nine of the last 13. Last year’s only meeting, however, saw the Power claim a shock 42-point win in Perth.
Opening bounce: 1:45pm (AEST)
Venue: Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast
TV: Fox Sports, Seven (SA, WA only)
Live stream: Kayo Sports, Foxtel, AFL Live

Luke Shuey said before going to the Gold Coast, that he will bring the team together and make the experience on the Gold Coast a good one for the Eagles. So what has happen? There is no leadership, the team is not working together to get the wins. It seams they have different agenda's. The young players seam not knowing what to do. If you want to play on the gold Coast Eagles put some effort into the games. The Senior players need to lead and not sulk because of being on the Gold Coast.

Losing Rioli is our kryptonite. We need strategy to solve this. Need to field YOUNG players that are actually good/promising. So far only Cameron, Allen, Waterman have shown signs of having great futures. Season is almost a write off, so why not debut a few more?

Most painful part of the painful month. Was it any worse than Geelong losing at home to Carlton? It's early days is all im saying.

Anything possible with a "tigers-like run of home games" to come.

"Most" predicted them to be top 4. You only need to read pre-season predictions.

Nah, been a painful month but still a good chance to make the 8. Dixon apparently the premier forward of the comp and port one of the teams to beat so losing today wasn't costly, either was brisbane (away). JK looked to be warming up. Kelly also had flashes. First half of the 3rd qtr prob the best football we have played since covid. Will have to beat some good teams at home tho. And if not Simpson will only get next yr to turn it around. Wce don't accept failure for long.

He would...but Pearce won't be available until later this season.

If ASADA or WADA (or whoever it is that's dragging its feet) don't make some kind of decision, the AFL should let Willie play until they do. How hard is it to make a decision? Are they waiting for a bribe?
