And it's poor behaviour every time. Kelly is just a particularly egregious example

I'm pretty sure plenty of players have held out on trades to go to a desired destination.

This is my club at its worst. A coach with no new ideas raking in cash from a contract signed by the previous management. The 7 premiership players, and others in this team are raking in the cash, like their coach, without meeting acceptable standards.

May the team of Geelong, AKA "the hoops", and all their works perish in univeral catastrophe - does that make my opinion on the Cats any clearer? It doesn't change the fact that after Kelly told Geelong he needed a transfer back to WA for family reasons, he then redused a trade to Freemantle and held out to go to WCE because it was his childhood team. I don't have a lot of respect for that. But then WCE were dumb enough to pay overs for him, so I guess they all got what they deserved.

Which kids are you talking about?

We probably will still have more crowds this year than GWS, Gold Coast, North, St Kilda etc - all teams apparently on the up.

Sounds remarkably spiteful for a non-geelong supporter. At the end of the day Geelong set a price that Fremantle were unwilling to pay and West Coast were.

Freemantle was pretty close to home though really, and they were the team in WA that actually asked for him. I have no doubt he would have had more support at Freemantle to access early childhood interventions (later on, NDIS), as extended family than most Australians get. Lots of Australians have special needs kids and make do with a lot less help than what an AFL club would provide.Let's be honest, he was a WCE supporter as a kid, and when his stocks went up after some early success, he dug in his heels and demanded that nothing but a trade to WCE was good enough - certainly not Freemantle, a city only a 30 minute drive from the city of Perth  Tried to game the system, I'm glad that karma seems to be ensuring he will not see any success as a result. Sucks for the rest of WCE and their supporters, but it is what it is. PS I'm not a Geelong supporter

Behind closed doors the AFL will say “they have lots of supporters and money so we don’t want to help them, we will just keep bleeding them to find our plans for domination”.

Carried to a premiership by the excellence of a few core players who have since retired.

Sadly that low 30k will probably be a higher crowd than what some successful clubs get. Rusted ons

Win-win. I get a membership quicker and get to watch Richmond fans here egg on the Eagles now with their clubs on the same path. All long term plans ;)
The Ghost
Roar Rookie
In reality they should beat us, as they are deep into their rebuild, whereas we have just begun ours.
The Ghost
Roar Rookie
Absolutely. They can’t even score 50 points in a game.

Roar Rookie
Nah they’ve been just expecting it to turn around cos it always has. Same people at the top for too long living off past glory that’s rapidly faded into the distance.
nics
Roar Rookie
You do realise he relocated because he needs more support for his two children with special needs right?
nics
Roar Rookie
I wouldn't mind some priority picks but the AFL will probably say "2018"

It’s been well over 20 years and we still ain’t there yet. Not a good path to take

Pete arragance got nothing to do with it. They won in 18’ & held on to the possibility of more success. Players were paid handsomely & crippled the club on long term deals. They should have done a Magpie escapade, tough titties
