Basically your Moon adds a lightness to that serious / conservative Sun of yours. Maybe a bit talkative and knowledgeable across many fields.

Yes the confederation of the galactic milieu is very controversial.

Time to Go is understatement of the year, for Ed, Bux & some of the board (don’t agree all should go). I liked the players going solo, & reflect it’s a very, very long time coming. I am still filthy on Treloar & Stevo but sad for Herritier & was shocked by the Robbie Muir report last year. Pies not only club but often loudest & magnet for chaos. Some really good comments already, the call out is being able to just go to the footy to enjoy the footy without the noise from our own boof heads.

Valid opinion and the segway to polical/media distortions interesting . I'd hope the average punter does do some homework but wouldn't require a dictionary to know what racism is.

It often depends on who is selected to conduct an inquiry of this type. What do you think would have happened if Daniel Andrews had selected Mark Latham and Pauline Hanson to conduct the inquiry into the disastrous hotel quarantine fiasco - they would have buried him and other key people. Whatever Collingwood were thinking when they appointed the people to conduct this investigation is anybody's guess - surely they would have known that they would likely cop it badly. In that context, the findings are not so bad and the media reaction is perhaps way over the top.

What a pity so few Roar authors and commentators have bothered to read the report and appendices in full. It appears that some may have read the executive summary only and the rest have just piled on in ignorance. Let’s see some conversation about the incidences of factual evidence presented in the report rather than the usual self righteous hypocrisy seen to date. By the way, “racism” is defined as being a belief that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race over other races. Of course the english language has recently become so debased that some words like racism are virtually meaningless. We even have radical right wing politicians and commentators described as “conservatives”, Daniel Andrews described as a fascist dictator, Palestinian sympathisers described as anti-Semitic and so on it goes. Social media just exposes the ignorance in our community to a greater extent.

Don't know why the players are doing the job of the president and the committee and dare I say some supporters, in writing a public apology. It was Eddie in his buffooness that insulted Adam Goodes, along with 1000s of ignorant AFL fans. It's mainly Eddie and Bucks who mishandled the Lumumba situation and let it escalate out of hand. It was McCallister and Victoria Park that went feral and over the top to Winmar. Players have obviously been involved along the way, Monkhurst with Long, I remember McGuane really giving Lewis a hard time, and obviously Lumumba...... This is not to demonise these individuals. Mostly they're good people who have been great for Collingwood and for footy, and they did stupid and wrong things, like we all do, and they're representative of their game/culture/society, not an aberration. I grew up racist and still need to challenge some of those enculturated beliefs. So glad I'm not on media like some of those guys. There'd be a lot of holes in my foot. But still, Eddie, as great as he's been for Collingwood, and despite his many great achievements and good intentions, he has a pig headed obstinate streak that I've just had enough of now. Like a beligerant school boy who can't actually admit he's done wrong, let alone feel the remorse. The closest he comes is to feeling guilty, but only because he's been busted, and the voices of the many can not be drowned out. "Sorry miss, the dog ate my homework, they gave me the wrong medication, jeez I was only joking, it was just the boyz havin a bit of fun........ In his younger days Eddie just sat there and let Sam Newman get away with his rubbish, completely complicit in how they treated Nicky Winmar. His rap sheet is not good. His stonewalling of Lumumba who supposedly "threw the president under the bus" created a tsunami of a mess and offence. I believe he lacked wisdom, humility and common sense when he pushed Malthouse out after consecutive grand finals including a premiership. Buckley was suppose to be creating a new culture!!!! What the!!! We almost just won 2 fn premierships!! For all his great qualities and contributions to Collingwood he has a belligerent obstinate streak that has cost him and Collingwood dearly. (Look at James Hird Ed). I wanted both him and Buckley to be given the opportunity to attempt to go out on the best note possible in 2021. But right now, after this last pathetic mess of our "great day" (great day of shame!) on top of the pathetic mess during trade period on top of everything else I'm more than ok if they're both sacked, along with the spineless board. And no more hand picking sycophant board members. Ed's obsession with control over consensus. Eddie wanted to follow the footsteps of big Jack Elliot, and looked up to him as a mentor figure. Well history should have told Eddie to get the hell out before 20 years, as Jack eventually destroyed Carlton after 20 years. It was almost written in the stars for Ed. Early on in his presidency he said he wanted Collingwood to become the most hated club. Well at least he succeeded there.

Hub, Spruce was an interesting contributor. We shared a team but anything off football was out there. He probably didn’t realise but we both were left of centre. Didactic intent wasn’t always appreciated. Anyway, my best fight with young Mr Moose was that we are all biased and bigoted, it is just a matter of degree. He could always through the first stone.
