Don't know why everyone talks about potential to cause injury. MRP haven't made a decision on potential injuries for a long time!

No free kick for a trip that could have broken the leg, so don’t expect anything but a small fine.

I think you're missing the point! The 'intention' was to trip. Therefore suspension. Many tripping incidents are not intentional so a free kick is deemed appropriate. But, whatevs.

Alright, think your talking crap, but alright. If tripping is such a horrendous sin, umps should be reporting players for tripping then, not just awarding a free kick against them.

Should be a week. Will likely get a fine on precedence.

Don't give a stuff about the suspension, where was the free kick, a player running through 50 suddenly ends up on his face and the umpire just calls play on?

All depends on intent. In this case there is no question that he intended to trip therefore suspension is appropriate. Possible injuries can be horrendous.

Never understood how if you leg someone during a game and the ump sees it, its a free kick and thats the end of it. Leg someone and the ump misses it and its a possible suspension. How is that balanced?

Should be a week . . . at least. The potential for horrendous injury is , should be, obvious.

Knowing how much the AFL hates us eagles, it’ll be one week.
