Let's face it, it was good theatre, but we have some morons in our community. Some of those morons coach local footy and if they observe Scott walking towards the opposition huddle with a surly disposition and wanting to engage in verbals, there is a strong risk these same people will think it's okay to do the same. And it's not. Community sport doesn't have the same levels of governance and controls to mitigate issues getting out of hand. Like it or not, players and coaches at AFL level are role models and need to be held accountable when they intentionally or recklessly set a bad example, so that morons in the community don't replicate their behaviour.
King does appear to have an obsession with Geelong. That said, there are few coaches that generally have mostly measured responses as does Scott. A bit of theatre is good for the game. IMO it is becoming so sanitised it will eventually be unwatchable. In the incident with Rohan and Neale no one has mentioned Neales punch which earned Hawkins a suspension for a similar incident. Neale was probably frustrated for being tagged out of the game something he rarely has put up with in the past. No doubt other coaches were watching and we will see how he copes with constant tags as happened to GAJ for most of his career. As far as the umpire "winning" the game for Geelong, it suits those posters that have an obvious anti Geelong narrative picking out one incident. It is not always about the frees given but where they are given and Brisbane had the best of those over the night. The old coulda, woulda, shoulda doesn't really cut it. Geelong has already The most frees against and one of the lowest frees for. They're hardly getting the "rub" from the umpires.
