Australia have the West Indies at their mercy after two days’ play in Adelaide, and will be eyeing a charge to victory and a 2-0 series sweep. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 3pm (AEDT).
After declaring on the eve of the night session at 7/511 after mammoth centuries from Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head, things couldn’t have gone much better for the Aussies under the lights.
Led by two wickets from Michael Neser, the hosts reduced the Windies to 4/102 at stumps, with only Tagenarine Chanderpaul offering any resistance.
On 47 not out, the opener seems the last barrier between Australia and a vulnerable lower order; they will be tempted to enforce the follow-on for another night session of bowling unless the visitors can show some fight on day 3.
Venue: Adelaide Oval
First ball: 3pm (AEDT)
TV: Fox Cricket, Channel 7
Streaming: Foxtel GO, Kayo Sports
Betting: Australia $1.08, draw $9.50, West Indies $41 – odds via PlayUp

Holder's a heaps good player but in this series he's been Warneresque

Well Green is tops so he will play. Nothing wrong with ScoBo and Geezer Neser bowling there. They will go sick too. And now they have some test experience, their line and length is full sick and good luck bazballing those boys, ya lousy minnows. And we hope you lose to France later this morning too. Lousy losing England

Next years Ashes will be played mid June to late July, with all non-London Tests played in the Midlands/north. Not even into August, let alone September. So yep, I'd be putting my money on green tops. Green tops as far as seam movement and low bounce goes anyway. Swing will be what it is.
Rellum

Yes, it should be great on a pitch with something in it against decent bowling. Keep it up.
Richie

I see you’re caught up in the bazball hype.
Rellum

You are assuming there will be green tops. Given they are now playing Bazball then I would assume we will see lots of dry roads over there

Just wondering how they could possibly not pick Boland for the next 5 Tests? If he bowled 150km and took half the wickets at double the average he’d be picked. You preform when given any opportunity you deserve to be selected first.

I can see all of Boland, Neser and Jhye being a series winning combo in England with their abilities to swing it, be accurate and keep it low into the pads. Boland probably a bit more seam movement off the pitch.

Even just watching on TV it was obvious he hit that. Starcers mustn't have seen it.

How do we think Boland would go in England with a duke in his hand? I think he could be a real star with his line and length
Chanon

You would have to be very brave to drop him in this menacing form.

Accounting for all sports, he has to be one of the best athletes in the country

Haze won’t be fit. But even if he was keeping Boland and trying Starc at the Gabba where his record is less stellar would make sense.

What a catch from Green.
