Australia and England face off in the deciding third ODI tonight in Manchester. Join The Roar for live scores from 10pm (AEST).
The tourists really should have sewn up this ODI series in Game 2. Cruising towards their sub-250 target with Aaron Finch and Marnus Labuschagne at the crease, they lost eight wickets on the trot in a dramatic collapse to hand victory to England.
The hosts will be buoyed by their late comeback on Sunday, but will have to arrest some poor form with the bat of their own; it was only some plucky work from the tail which rescued their innings after Australia’s attack, particularly Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa, made early inroads and threatened to restrict them to under 200.
It may well be that whichever team avoids collapsing today takes the win, but with in-form bowling units in both sides, that could prove a difficult challenge.
One bowler who hasn’t found his best is Pat Cummins. The usually reliable quick hasn’t found his rhythm this tour, but you wouldn’t put it past the classy right-armer to rediscover his form in the decider. The same goes for David Warner who, after finding a few runs in the T20s, has only managed a couple of meagre scores in the 50-over games.
Start time: 10pm (AEST)

I have moved house and Sky screwed up the TV installation so I was watching on my phone with my daughter. Gripping stuff

Yeah he over-cooked it. Bowling him to get Maxie was brave and smart. Bowling him in the last over, 10 to get, with two bowlers fresh at the crease, was brave and not so smart. In that circumstance, it’s Wood every time for me

Yes we did need to win one of those.

Warner has been living on reputation for a long time. Like Marsh boys they fire up against week opposition or on Australian roads to keep their names in the team. Mitchell Marsh will survive of the one score for 10 games. Warner survives of Australian summer’s with the best batting conditions.

Great win for Aus, but why bowl the spinner for the last over! Wood and Archer had an over each leftover.

One of our best. And we needed to close out a close one

From 5/73 to chase 303. Brilliant... bloody brilliant. What is that you are saying Chris Woakes? “ Yeah the Australians can win from any position, too”

Langer is stubborn as... I wish CA hired Jason Gillespie instead of him. I don't think any Aussie coach has lost as many odi series as Langer in his short tenure.

Hope they drop Warner after this this ODI side needs some changes and I thought some fresh faces like Merideth ,Sam's and Phillipe were going to make some kind of mark in the side but they didnt even get 1 game.

Warner is soooo explosive, every bowler trembles bowling to him. Right. Just to remind, You dropped a man of the series opener scored most runs in India against India.

Abssolute joke of s start. Stoinis out to leg wide ball by playing a tentative shot he could have smacked for 6. The power play was tentative nudges were as Eng kicked on after losing 2 straight wickets.
