The T20I series between New Zealand and Australia continues in the city of Auckland. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 5:10pm (AEDT).

Australia are building nicely with the bat for the T20 World Cup, but their bowling needs to show more consistency.

A bowler’s graveyard in Eden Park won’t help that; while for New Zealand, they will hope having the services of Trent Boult for the rest of the series will add some extra impetus to a bowling attack that was pummelled by Mitchell Marsh and Tim David in their thrilling Game 1 loss.

Prediction

Australia have fond memories of Eden Park, having chased down 240+ against the Black Caps here in February 2018. Expect the Aussies to wrap up the series in Auckland.

Unlike England who have made it to 7/305 on the back of a steady gutsy century full of good cricket by Joe Root, who is grateful that Bumrah has been rested. Exciting debut by Deep who had them in all sorts early on.

Marsh's bowler use was also great. He's getting better at the job

MATCH SUMMARY: Australia 174 (19.5) beat New Zealand 102 (17) by 72 runs The extra bounce and turn on offer made things difficult for batters today. Knocks from Marsh, Head and Cummins took Australia to a score over 150 with ease. New Zealand never got going and despite some fight from Philips, the Blackcaps troubles on slower surfaces continue as we have seen in series against Bangladesh and Pakistan earlier in their home season T20I series.
