Australia have kept their T20 series against New Zealand alive and will look to square the ledger in the fourth game tonight in Wellington. Join The Roar for live scores from 5pm (AEDT).
After two dreadful outings with the ball to start this tour, Australia found form in the field in on Wednesday, rolling the Kiwis for 144 en route to a 64-run victory.
Ashton Agar was back to his best following the opening two games of the series when he was taken to by the Black Caps, and walked off the Cake Tin with the best ever figures by an Australian man in international T20 cricket: 6-30.
But really, the match was won before then with the bat. Aaron Finch found some touch with the bat with a much-needed half-century, Josh Philippe continued to impress at the top of the order, and Glenn Maxwell played the kind of extraordinary innings only he can.
The Victorian started his innings slowly, but finished with 70 off 31 balls, complete with 8 fours and 5 sixes. If he can produce that kind of belligerent effort with the blade once again, Australia will be well on their way to tieing this series at two apiece.
There’s a boost for the hosts today, though, with Mitchell Santner available once again after missing Game 3 with flu-like symptoms. For Australia, while they won the last clash, there are still a number of players in the side under pressure to find form, particularly wicketkeeper and opening batsman Matthew Wade.

Finch and Agar sharing MOM honours in the last 2 games, who would have thunk it? Lucky we didn’t the panic button to early...

Surely McDermott or Turner get to play the decider ahead of Wade. They could be home playing Shield and Marsh Cup...as could Behrendorff, Tye, Sangha...

Aussies starting to hit their stride now. Glad there’s a decider.

The NZ test team apparently relies on a player that has never played for them.  Follow me for some more great cricketing analysis

Australia loss the first game by 50 so it's speculative to suggest NZ would not have won anyway.
Oh he for can play, you are right there
Unlike Satner, Agar can bat in limited overs cricket.

I see, Jamieson was picked for his batting. Top score.

8/41 in the last 2 games, speaks for itself really.

Just don’t look at Satner’s catching highlight reel.

Agar's career T20I numbers are remarkable - average of 18.8 at an economy of 6.9. Like Santner, he isn't much to look at, but both guys are just very canny T20 bowlers.

He won them the first game straight after AUS came out of isolation. The blackcaps middle order would look decidedly weak without him. I think they will take him if they can.
NZ should bring back Chris Harris for the final on Sunday
