The battle between Australia and India for the ICC World Test Championship continues this evening with Day 3 from The Oval in London. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:30pm (AEST).

At 5/151 at stumps on Day 2 in reply to Australia’s 469, India are in dire straits in their bid to lift the Test mace after once again heading into the final as the top-ranked side in the longest format.

Only Ajinkya Rahane, KS Bharat and the tail stand between the Aussies and an enormous first-innings lead, and no doubt Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon and co. will be licking their lips in anticipation of attacking India’s middle order today.

He’s leading our best side in over 15 years. He should be approaching the same pedestal as Ponting and Waugh -IF he wins the Ashes

I'll have to work on it for next time. Good result though! This result will definitely buy Cummins some time until the next wicketless session, no ball, batting collapse, etc

Whoa now hang on just a cotton pickin minute, Army Pizza Dude. The criticism is that Pat puts himself on to bowl to the tail to get cheap wickets. Why did he put that responsibility on Starc and Green? Why isnt he leading from the front by cleaning up the tail. Its selfish captaincy if you ask me. And damn sure no one is.

I didn't classify it as a cut, and I like French folk - I'm sure they'd be much more stylish.

That's a tough call, there were about 4 stoppages by the Indians in that first session due to injuries

STUMPS. Australia head to the sheds in a very strong position and will surely set-up victory tomorrow. We ended up losing 12 overs on the day, and have now lost 30 for the test overall.
