Match preview:

The Canberra Raiders have cemented a top-four finish and will be looking to continue their momentum when they face the New Zealand Warriors. Join The Roar from 3pm AEST for live commentary.

The consensus in Canberra is the Raiders have the ability to do something special this year, and maybe, just maybe, win their first Premiership since 1994.

The Raiders have already proved they can beat favourites the Melbourne Storm in that remarkable comeback a few weeks back and last week once again showed that they won’t go down without a fight.

Canberra were 12-nil down at half time against the Cronulla Sharks last week, but had a remarkable second half and forced the game into extra time after each side scored two field goals in normal time.

In the end the Raiders edged past the sharks to win by a point, but coach Ricky Stuart was quick to put things into perspective and not get carried away.

The Raiders have showed they can come back from behind but the slower starts could come back to haunt them in finals.

Canberra have also had a hectic few weeks of rugby league, so Stuart has decided to rest several key players ahead of the clash against the Warrirors.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Jordan Rapana, Iosia Soliola and John Bateman won’t play.

Bailey Simonsson goes to fullback and his wing spot will be filled by Michael Oldfield while Sebastian Kris replaces Rapana.

The New Zealand Warriors have lost their past three games in a row, and in turn they also lost any chance they had of making finals.

In those three games they conceded an average of more than 38 points per game and the highest they can hope to finish is 12th.

Issac Luke will be playing his final game for the Warriors, his future still remains unclear but latest reports suggest he could end up at the Manly Sea Eagles next season.

The Warriors will also have a changed team from the side that lost to the South Sydney Rabbitohs last week.

Adam Pompey and Blake Ayshford form will play in the centre, replacing injured duo Peta Hiku and Patrick Herbert.

Chanel Harris-Tavita suffered ligament damage in his left arm last week and is expected to need surgery.

Bunty Afoa and Adam Keighran are the new men on the bench.

Prediction
The Warriors have been very poor lately and Canberra have been very good. Both sides have made several changes, but the Raiders should get the job done in front of their home crowd.

Don’t think this result will worry Canberra too much after tomorrow. Finals is a new season as they say. Great to see them in the top 4 and a double chance.

Terrific display from the bunker again tonight. The warriors sure cop some rubbish calls.

Heard one of the coaching staff talking before the match and it almost as though there was no intensity going into the match - top 4 already secured - four of our better players rested - all had the hallmarks of complacency. Didn't care if they finishes 3rd or 4th etc. Obviously came back to bite them in that final ten minutes. Not a good look - and disrespectful for the fans who turn up in cold and miserable conditions. They deserved better. The Raiders record at home has been pretty ordinary this year. The Raiders better be pumped for the Storm next week in Melbourne - cause they'll be ready for them after last time. Don't quite know what to make of the Hudson Young effort - if its a deliberate eye gouge then he hasn't learned anything from his previous suspension and will be suspended for a substantial period of time - if he's guilty the club should seriously look at tearing up his contract.

Only just found out who won. I had a funny feeling the Warriors just might make fools of us all. It will be interesting if the match review committee decide they have to have another look at last night's game after the Rabbitohs complained to the NRL regarding the inconsistencies in the charges from last night. I must admit I thought it was strange Cordner wasn't put on report for his elbow to Reynold's throat.

Even allowing for the interminable laying on in the PTB and skinny 10m, an insipid effort from Canberra.

I missed the game so I can’t comment on how the Raiders played, but honestly I think they have a better chance against Melbourne than against Easts.

It beats me WHY anyone would eye gouge, pull hair, grab the cojones, bite ears, pull ears, twist necks... WHAT is happening to the game? And I am well aware of the Burgii's record in this as well as James Graham. And before we dismiss this as a pommie thing, think of the Melbourne Storm and Cam Smith. Not a pommie amongst them!

His first attempt started at the chin & raked up his face over his eyes, could have been viewed just an accident but the second attempt was a clear gouge. He is GONE.

It's the best result for the Qualifying Finals. I don't trust the referees in Melbourne. Souths will have to beat the best to be the best, just like they did in 2014. The last time Souths finished 3rd and didn't have to play the Storm in the Qualifying Finals they won the premiership!

Hoping now Broncs win & Tigers then we'll have 2 big Sydney derbies week 1, though Parra v Broncs & Manly v Tigers or Sharks wouldn't be a bad result either.
