Match preview:

The Canberra Raiders have cemented a top-four finish and will be looking to continue their momentum when they face the New Zealand Warriors. Join The Roar from 3pm AEST for live commentary.

The consensus in Canberra is the Raiders have the ability to do something special this year, and maybe, just maybe, win their first Premiership since 1994.

The Raiders have already proved they can beat favourites the Melbourne Storm in that remarkable comeback a few weeks back and last week once again showed that they won’t go down without a fight.

Canberra were 12-nil down at half time against the Cronulla Sharks last week, but had a remarkable second half and forced the game into extra time after each side scored two field goals in normal time.

In the end the Raiders edged past the sharks to win by a point, but coach Ricky Stuart was quick to put things into perspective and not get carried away.

The Raiders have showed they can come back from behind but the slower starts could come back to haunt them in finals.

Canberra have also had a hectic few weeks of rugby league, so Stuart has decided to rest several key players ahead of the clash against the Warrirors.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Jordan Rapana, Iosia Soliola and John Bateman won’t play.

Bailey Simonsson goes to fullback and his wing spot will be filled by Michael Oldfield while Sebastian Kris replaces Rapana.

The New Zealand Warriors have lost their past three games in a row, and in turn they also lost any chance they had of making finals.

In those three games they conceded an average of more than 38 points per game and the highest they can hope to finish is 12th.

Issac Luke will be playing his final game for the Warriors, his future still remains unclear but latest reports suggest he could end up at the Manly Sea Eagles next season.

The Warriors will also have a changed team from the side that lost to the South Sydney Rabbitohs last week.

Adam Pompey and Blake Ayshford form will play in the centre, replacing injured duo Peta Hiku and Patrick Herbert.

Chanel Harris-Tavita suffered ligament damage in his left arm last week and is expected to need surgery.

Bunty Afoa and Adam Keighran are the new men on the bench.

Prediction
The Warriors have been very poor lately and Canberra have been very good. Both sides have made several changes, but the Raiders should get the job done in front of their home crowd.
