TV now owns our game

Clipper, you liking your own post. That’s new lol. Plus you can’t even take a joke though I think even AFL fans would agree, a good stiff drink was probably a necessity.
plus Clipper, Craig & Co…. really, please list the sports that I hate?
I’ve only ever fended off the AFL & union folk who have digs at RL but you go on & make up these stories. EVERY lol really.

TV now owns our game

One would probably need more alcohol to sit through the AFL grand final, so good news that less alcohol sales were accounted for the NRL. After all isn’t that & gambling supposed to be something the game needs to steer away from? 😁

TV now owns our game

Great to watch the Aust Women’s XIII v Fiji Bulikula live on Kayo today from Suva and how competitive the Fijian ladies are going down 22-14. Bad ball security lost them the match in a game they could have won. Also great to see a Fijian player signed by the Warriors & will undoubtedly become a source of players for the NRLW with backing by the Australian & Fijian govts.

It’s time for the NRLW to grow

yep Sydney Morning Herald stated those figures which just means people are watching their footy through other avenues than FTA.

Dear Mr V'landys: here's how you can make the NRL even greater straight away

Do you find it so easy to lie as you do making up all these aliases?

Wolfpack win frosty promotion from Super League clubs

You should read your own sport’s history Inbrief, it all starts out artificial with foreigners setting up sports, that’s how union spread without any barriers. What is artificial may turn into something else & atleast the majority Canadian crowd for the Wolfpack don’t give a brass razoo about ‘their city’s’ foreign legion.

Wolfpack win frosty promotion from Super League clubs

Those players for the Wolfpack could actually represent Canada going by what the Jap-Pacific team are doing in the union WC hey Terry. Only sad thing is Japan has the most ‘rugby clubs’ in the world, played the game for over 100 years & has still resorted to putting out a very unJapanese looking team lol.

Wolfpack win frosty promotion from Super League clubs

I got stuck with tickets to Roosters v Manly 2013 GF. My worst nightmare as I took a gamble on the Rabbitohs making it (was one year to early). Anyway, as a neutral I really enjoyed this GF, discovered the Roosters have this hidden support (don’t know where they disappear to?) but overall game, atmosphere etc was great.

The six best rugby league grand finals I've been to

See ya 😂

Six talking points from the NRL grand final 2019

it’s Clipper, I think by now his comments on RL are worth ignoring, a real hater that one.

Trust me, the A-League will break crowd records in Round 1

I think Nine’s decline in ratings & Foxtels increase in ratings along with the uptake of Kayo etc by punters does prove that many fans are sick of its coverage.

The uncomfortable truth about the NRL’s horrible media coverage

yes, him & ch 9 (Nein) are a cringe worthy ego match made in heaven.

Referees get it right and the commentators misread the room - again

Gould needs to go. I can’t believe Channel 9 can sit back & watch its ratings dive. It is arrogant & all he is doing is using his position to bully. Who would become a ref the way Gould baits fans into a rabid frenzy over them? And as you point out he keeps changing his bloody mind. I thought Rabs was the only one going senile atm.

Referees get it right and the commentators misread the room - again

3 years ago Gould said tripping had no place in the game & the judiciary needed to get tough. Cue Hargreaves trip, they got tough & Gus Fould does an olympic backflip and whinges about the suspension. I thought Rabs Warren was the only one going senile.

'It's a farce': Gus absolutely lashes out at the current state of officiating in the NRL

you’ve actually admitted this is a power trip for you. How sad to tr0ll people just to get your jollies. You must not have much in life let alone be old enough to have daughters kid 😂

NRLW has learnt from AFLW's disrespect

I don’t get riled up. I say my piece & if you have to create multiple aliases to be heard then that sounds riled up to me.

NRLW has learnt from AFLW's disrespect

And how many times are you going to be banned & come back under another alias to tell us the same thing you keep telling us over & over? Is this your power trip in your life? You seriously hang your hat on social media tr0lling 😂

See it as a different way for new sports to spark development. The Canadian Womens team is currently touring Serbia, so the journey for them continues.

I read where the Norway Rugby league approached the RLWC21 organisers wanting to put a team into the wheelchair cup as they said they had enough players to form a comp but to get the finance they would need to show that they were participating in a world cup.

They have just announced a $380,000 grant from a NGO called Sparebankstiftelsen DNB for the development of the sport in Norway & to get them ready to participate in the RLWC21. They will also get government money out of this. So with no formal comp yet though starting soon, that is WOW for thinking out of the box, plus they’ll have 2 years to get better at wheelchair RL & the Federation have a new member. Lets face it rugby league is not a rich sport outside the NRL & people who want to develop it must try new ways.

NRLW has learnt from AFLW's disrespect

It was a ground used by union & league so why don’t you contact their association & ask how they deal with it.

😂 once again you get s!apped down

NRLW has learnt from AFLW's disrespect

Brisbane has been way behind promoting club RL for women but I think the QRL are now stepping up & Broncos NRLW are a good promotional tool. The QRL has also focused more on school rugby league for girls these last few years. The Karyn Murphy Cup for instance this year had 4 age groups featuring 233 school teams.

One thing RL does right is provide excellent pathways, building foundations etc before going for the ‘statistics’ of numbers which AFL loves. I also read the injuries in AFL female participation are quite high & a concern!?

“CONCUSSION and ruptured ACLs have been identified as the major injury concerns in the AFL Women’s competition” ABC

“AFLW season have been blighted by a spate of season-ending knee injuries” AFL

Yes the growth trajectory will be interesting but also ensuring well being & education, around playing body contact sports like the rugby, AFL codes, are met for females not traditionally associated with these field sports.

Munro Mike the following info more than shows womens tackle RL in the Hunter & Central Coast as well as more extensive 9’s comps other than the Tarsha Gale Cup:
Here is a link to 13 a side women’s tackle in the Hunter & Newcastle RL. From this there are U/14, 16, 18 & Open teams totaling 28 teams. I note the U/14’s is the largest category suggesting this will eventually feed into the higher grades & we will see far more teams in the coming years.
http://websites.sportstg.com/comp_info.cgi?c=0-4764-0-506742-0&a=LADDER
The top team Waratah Mayfield WT has a 30 squad roster. The last team Thornton/Beresfield has 24 players in the Open age for example.
Also that is just Newcastle & the Hunter not the Central Coast which have there own comps.
Also they run a 9’s version for those who can’t step up or want to progress slowly to the full game. There are a heap of players in those comps:
http://websites.sportstg.com/club_info.cgi?c=0-11860-186775-503782-26314177&a=TEAMS&;
So add that to tag & touch, there are is a great base/community of rugby league recruitment for any future Newcastle womens NRLW,.
With the recent advent of the NRLW, Origin, Jillaroos etc there is no reason this will spurt even more growth for the womens game as the AFLW has done for that game.

The French national women RL will play Turkey in Istanbul it has just been announced!
