The Manly Sea Eagles have the Cronulla Sharks and a long injury list to overcome if they’re to get a Sunday afternoon victory today. Join The Roar for live scores from 4:05pm to see how this encounter plays out.

Manly’s win over Canberra this time last week was as gutsy as it gets, but it’s left Des Hasler’s men beaten and bruised for today’s match – and beyond. Dylan Walker did his ankle, Tom Trbojevic pinged his hamstring once again, and close eye was kept on Brad Parker after his head knock, although he was named to start in the centres.

Trbojevic is the big loss for the Sea Eagles. The star fullback is often Manly’s most influential player and has been a real barometer for their success. He’s also their leading try-scorer this year with four.

There are at least a couple of players returning from the casualty ward today, with Martin Taupau and Jorge Taufua back in the side after injury lay-offs of their own.

The Sharks might not have the same injury worries as their rivals – the same 17 players who managed to get the job done over the Bulldogs last Sunday – but they have a woeful record against today’s opponents. In their history, they’ve only won about a quarter of their matches against Manly.

Coupled with their bottom-half position on the ladder, it won’t fill Cronulla fans with an awful lot of confidence heading into today’s game.

I'd be interested to see stats Manly's recent record in the rain , I doubt it would all that flash. The Sharks were too good but an unlikely comeback win was possible until it all went a bit wobbly again. I was a big fan of Cust last year because he's a crafty and tough and likes to compete. Des usually does well with his loyal approach but I reckon he needs to look at Cust at starting hooker. I'm still hoping to be wrong about Levi but he is just too robotic and predictable for me.

Paid off! I'd been burned by the Titans earlier in the season so was a bit gun shy - great to see them get a win - but how bad are the Broncos going. And the Cowboys were pumped against a pretty flat Knights outfit. Thought last week's game might have taken a bit out of Manly so I got at least one right! Pretty topsy turvy season with only the Roosters looking the real deal. But can the Roosters keep this exceptional standard up - its not even half way and they are playing with a finals like intensity - are they peaking too early? The Raiders certainly aren't peaking too early! Timing their run nicely  (better not leave it too late!)

Ha, I was surprised the rest of the panel were so unanimous in their views frankly. I knew there were going to be upsets, just wasn't sure which ones, so I took the lot.

You've done well Scott - when I saw your tips I thought whoa - Scott's either going to go down in a screaming heap or make up some serious ground in the tipping comp - I stuck my neck out by going for the Raiders and Sharkies but they cancelled each other out

I'm going to have to watch the replay of this tonight. Very happy to get the win, we've had a shocking start to this season and I have been worried about the direction we were headed. Hopefully someone has set a fire underneath a few people and got us back on track. Bad luck to the Manly faithful. It's hard to win footy games with so many quality players out but I am sure you won't stay down for long. We were due a win against you at "home" anyway. Does this count?? Up Up

Yeah, or the Palmie RSL. And it is soft drinks for these blokes tonight. An outrage.

You see, this is a game of consistency. Many years ago, I experimented with stopping drinking after lunch. The next morning I had a terrible hangover. Then it dawned on me : consistency. So now, basically continuous beverages unless I’m asleep. The same with Manly, every waking hour needs to be devoted to consistency; that wins games, and that wins competitions.

Sharks 13+, over 38.5, Ramien/Taufua anytime try-scorers. Never in doubt.

Usually hard to fault Hasler, but I reckon Manly are a lot more competitive in this game if Elliott stays at the back. Garrick looked a bit lost back there

Ok time to put on a try every 30 seconds just to put this out of reach. It works well on the Playstation, that is pretty accurate right?? Up Up

The one consolation for Manly is that they've managed to avoid the cursed 50. At least they're still alive.
