The in-form Melbourne Storm head to Gosford to take on the New Zealand Warriors at their home away from home. Join The Roar for live scores this Sunday afternoon from 2pm (AEST).

They might not be top of the ladder or premiership favourites, but the Storm’s premiership defence is thus far going swimmingly. They’ve won ten in a row since a sluggish, by their standards, start to the season, and remain the NRL’s benchmark for consistent excellence.

They’ve continued their winning ways despite a string of injuries, with Ryan Papenhuyzen, Cam Munster and Harry Grant, among others, all missing plenty of footy in 2021. The names are starting to trickle back, though: Munster and Grant will both return to take on the Warriors, though the latter will work his way back from the bench.

Origin appears to have been kind to the Storm, with Josh Addo-Carr, Felise Kaufusi and Christian Welch joining Grant and Munster in being named for their second match in four days. Craig Bellamy is no stranger to a late change, however, so keep your eyes on the team sheets for any scratchings.

The Warriors are well and truly in the hunt for finals, and an upset win today could do wonders for their confidence ahead of the second half of the year. Last week’s bye will have done them the world of good, having won just one of their last four matches. Their most recent game saw the Cowboys and Valentine Holmes break their hearts with a last-gasp field goal.

Young sensation Reece Walsh will miss through suspension, making the Warriors’ task all the tougher. Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will return to his customary fullback role in his place. Interestingly, Nathan Brown has elected to name gun prop Addin Fonua-Blake in the reserves for his first game since a knee injury back in Round 4.

Munster has already learnt his lesson. He can kick blokes on the ground and only get a lunch money fine. Lesson will be reinforced again by match review committee this week.

Get a grip. Munster has been great the last two years, both for Melbourne and Qld. The silly lashing out with the boot has to go though. Bellamy will let him know it.

You could be on to something, he's not the player he has been....

He has his moments and they have been pretty good when he is on but I agree, often he kills play down the LHS with cut backs against the grain and hogging the ball. Not overly impressed by his 5th tackle kicks either. Too late now, but Hynes at Five-Eighth and Paps at Fullback would not be a bad option. I'm guessing Munster commands a hefty pay packet too......

Reckon he has been going down hill these last 2 to 3 years. He has the odd flash of brilliance particularly in big games but has so much baggage these days I think his money could have been better used in retaining Hynes.

Starting to go off Munster a lot. He is not the player he was and has picked up some nasty habits. I am starting to think he is more trouble than he is worth.

I reckon he is carrying injuries , like his dodgy medial. Hence the frustration in his game.

Munster so far out of form, only his kicking prevents him being a complete liability for the Storm.

Good ball. Good hole running. Mam is a solid unit for 18yo.

He is barely QRL standard in defence. Most of our players and the Broncs even don't move off the line
