The Newcastle Knights are back in action in the NRL as they host the Gold Coast Titans. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 2pm AEST.

The Knights come off a week’s break, and boy did they need it after a horror show in Parramatta. The hosts have won three of their past four games at home, with their last victory coming against the New Zealand Warriors at home in round six.

Kurt Mann is sidelined due to injury, meaning Phoenix Crossland starts at hooker while Adam Elliott makes his first appearance in the NRL since round 1.

The Titans are starting to hit their straps, producing a fantastic performance en route to beating the Sea Eagles in Brookvale before some desperate defence late in the second half against the Eels saw them win a high scoring affair 26-24 in Magic Round.

With the Titans rolling on a high recently, they will feel confident heading into Newcastle. The Titans make one change with Kruise Leeming back into the seventeen, while Keano Kini is 18th man.

Prediction

As good as the Knights have been at home this year, the Titans are looking far better than them in every aspect recently. Titans by 10.

FULL TIME NEW 46 GLD 26 The Knights get the job done with ease in front of their home crowd. They needed Kalyn Ponga to step up. Boy did he do that today. Almost played as a second fullback rather than a five-eight. Trusted his running game and his vision to lead the Knights to an emphatic and much needed victory. The Titans come crashing down back to reality after two great performances. Kieran Foran with some stern words to his teammates in a huddle post full time
