‘Alpha male’- what a misnomer! Thug or bully is a far better description. Some people are not suitable for playing contact sport. They confuse good strong play with deliberately hurting opponents and they need to be punished with suspension until they can distinguish between the two. If they don’t learn, then adios.

JWH has been *allowed* to play in this manner for a very long time. Equally by his coach and by the NRL administrators who have not enforced the rules. I like to watch good footy, that showcases the skills of very talented players. What was on display during those farcical minutes last night was not good footy. And I don’t want to hear the expression ‘putting up the bumpers’ again- call it for what it is ‘raising the elbows’, invariably into an opponents head.
