With so many big names missing, the Roosters will need a monumental effort as they take on the Knights in Newcastle. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:50pm (AEST).

These two teams are expected to figure at the pointy end of the season, however with just two wins each from five games, questions are being asked. The winner tonight keeps in touch with the 8, whilst alarm bells will start ringing for the loser.

Greg Marzhew is in the reserves for Newcastle and is an outside chance of coming back into the squad from his wrist injury.

The Roosters have been decimated after a fiery clash with the Bulldogs last start. James Tedesco and Sam Walker are out due to concussion protocols and Dom Young is serving a 2 week suspension. The Roosters have named Joey Manu at fullback for Tedesco and brought in Connor Watson as five-eighth. Controversial veteran Michael Jennings, who will bring up his 300th NRL game, is named at centre and Junior Pauga wins a place on the wing.

Prediction

At home in front of a big Newcastle crowd, I expect the Knights to get home against a Roosters side missing some key players. Knights by 6

If you have any money left over, can I suggest a couple of absolute guns in Brent Naden and Matt Dufty.

At least someone was working hard around the ruck. The knights middle forwards weren't. Sutton to start next week in the blue and red.

No he didn't. Both sides defence was shocking. Knights should have won the game there at the end but didn't take their chances. However, the bunker is just useless

Lol, Joey Leilua. It would work, but only if you got him on an air-tight, eight year, $10m contract.

Good win Roosters albeit pretty lucky to not be penalised in the last couple of minutes several times. Their best May, Creighton, Keary, Smith and Manu. You have to feel for Knights fans when their key point of attack, Ponga played wounded for around twenty minutes until he got the magic needle at half time. Both sides had very leaky defence
