As a rooster, I’m definitely not getting carried away.
We have been poor this year and we still have a tonne of work to do to turn this around.
Hopefully less injuries and sam walker needs to be on the field.

It’s a shame under the current set up, we won’t get it.
Robbo whines in the press conference but takes no accountability for the fact his team is playing poorly and nothing gets fixed. Same crap in a different game.
I think the club needs a freshen up but therein is the problem: who could we get as coach. I’d rather they come out and say we are rebuilding for a couple of years rather than pretend everything is fine

Roosters need a massive rebuild: starting with a new coach who doesn’t whine but simply gets on with the job.

You could say Roosters were terrible against the panthers but we were just smashed without it actually being reflected on scoreboard.
Roosters play better with Sandon Smith partnering Walker in the halves. Keary looked timid and didn’t really give us anything in attack or defence. Missed Collins big time.
I have serious doubts about whether we can finish in top 4. More 5th to 8th.

Really, apart from manly, no side has been all that impressive so far this year. So I think Roosters are a decent chance of top 4.
IF injuries are kept to a minimum and they get some consistency in good form.

I can’t disagree with that. I did think to myself, ‘what is he doing’, when he made the fun and games comment. Your right, the club should have been pro active enough to get him away and out of sight.
And the media manager and Robbo should have known better. The phrase ‘ be better’ comes to mind. Hopefully the club shows it

I won’t condemn the entire club over the actions of one person but I will expect them to bring him quickly into line with the proviso that any more and he is out. Again I will wait and see how he learns.

We should hope Dutski, that the club has absolutely ripped into Leniu behind closed doors that this is unacceptable and that this disgraceful behaviour going forward won’t be tolerated. I can only hope he cleans up his act. We shall see

Homophobic comments should carry the same harsh penalty as racist remarks. Should not be any difference

I would hope Leniu learns from this and does not make a racist remark again. No need for racist taunts and insults. Decent suspension and time to work on his aggression and tendency to go overboard in games. As a supporter of the roosters, hopefully no more players get involved in this kind of behaviour and just play footy.

IF true, I would think around 4 wk ban. Innocent until proven guilty. This needs to play out through the judiciary in a proper process.

Geoff, he should cop what he deserves and hopefully learns something from it. I’ve supported the roosters for near 34 years. I’ve seen enough hotheads in the side to last a lifetime. We don’t need another loose cannon and racist taunts have no place in the game or anywhere else.

Good point on Sam, plays much better unstructured. In fact whole team plays better unstructured. He is our half-back not keary. Hope sandon smith is back soon too
