The Sydney Roosters host the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 3 action at Allianz Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 8pm AEDT.

Sandon Smith gets the Roosters’ six jumper with Luke Keary out, while Billy Smith fails to make the squad with Trent Robinson opting to keep his backline intact from the defeat to Manly.

He has, however, rung the changes in the forwards: Siua Wong is out entirely with Nat Butcher elevated to start and Angus Crichton to the bench. Connor Watson will wear the 14.

Lachlan Ilias has been dropped for Dean Hawkins amid several changes for Souths. Isaiah Tass swaps sides to allow a club debut for Jack Wighton, while Sean Keppie and Davvy Moale have traded places in the middle rotation and Shaq Mitchell drops out altogether.

There is a chance Damien Cook could be demoted to the bench with Siliva Havili promoted to start at hooker

Prediction

The Roosters are looking to bounce back after a loss to Manly while Souths are besieged after two straight defeats. Roosters by 6

I think its the shakeup the club needed. Jack did us a favour by leaving. You could see his heart was no longer in it last season. Ricky seemed to turn to Jack for everything and Jack had had enough. Good to see Fogarty lift - his kicking game has been great - and Strange will only get better and better.

you're not missing your boy so far huh? From Raider, comp leaders to comp bunnies. It's early I know but seems Canberra are doing well without.

It's more that he hates Souths and rules in favour of the NRL Triumvirate criag. It's hard to tell at times whether Klein is corrupt, incompetent or a mixture of both. Either way, the loss last night is on Demetriou and the Rabbitohs, not Klein.

Klein loves the Roosters?…NOW I’ve heard EVERYTHING! And it only took one tackle into the game for him to incorrectly rule a knock-on against them, over-turned on Captain’s Challenge.

Too be fair he was in a slump last year but hey that happens, he is back baby he is trying hard just lost a bit of pace but still knows where to be and gives the roosters plenty. Teddy has to be a Roosters great. What a legend.

He looked at the screen and loved the blood on his face. I have never been a big fan of BS, but that was one of his better games!

Do you think it even too much for the right ‘mental’ style coach to get the most out of him?
