I believe he is serious. The game with the six again has replaced a lot penalties and this alone doesn't allow a small break while players get back 10 metres or wait for a penalty goal attempt. Next a number of scrums has been replaced by change overs, that's another lot breaks denied to the players. These are a few points that I have observed this season. Two more observations are that with 1 Referee the play the ball markers are most of the time standing along side of each other & very rarely penalised. With the Referee "nit picking" looking for a minor a infringement to call 6 again they have ignored the 10 metre rule in the play the ball. A lot of the injuries seem to be caused by tired players making bad decisions in tackles.
Time for the RLPA to stand up and be counted. Players are facing shorter careers and earning potential as a result of these ill thought changes. If clubs are happy to let their players be treated like cattle by the NRL then the players themselves need to take the fight to them

Yep tired is the enemy of technique. I remember one junior coach getting us to do skill work at the end of training to try and simulate fatigue
