The Crusaders have lost Sam Whitelock due to an ongoing Achilles niggle, but have welcomed back star forwards Oli Jager and Ethan Blackadder for their quarterfinal against Fijian Drua at Orangetheory Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 5.05pm AEST.
Whitelock came off at half-time against the Hurricanes, but the returns of Jager and Blackadder boost Scott Robertson’s hopes of signing off on a winning note from the Crusaders.
Robertson has tweaked his backline, with All Blacks midfielder Jack Goodhue starting at inside centre.
Drua head coach Mick Byrne has named a settled side from the one that beat the Reds in Fiji last week, with only minor changes to his backline.
Teti Tela will start at inside centre with Byrne opting for two playmakers, with Caleb Muntz to start at fly-half.

Good to see a niche sport is getting some coverage.

So what that it’s Drua’s first season?, Are you seriously saying that because it’s their first season that games should be played in places they like? The Crusaders were never afforded that in their first season, and if that kind of rule was ever bought in then Canberra would never get any teams wanting to play there.

This wasn’t the issue for this season. I suggested change the SR rules for Pasifika Moana and Druas when it comes to knockout Final rounds.

Drua has an excuse why it lost in Christchurch and the Crusaders had an excuse when it lost to the Druas in Fiji in the earlier round … despite the fact the Crusaders is a top team in SR and this is Drua’s first season.

Your ‘point’ makes absolutely no sense at all. Try harder and think deeper. You might get it.

Your 'point' makes absolutely no sense at all. One runs across the occasional stupid idea on here, but this one really takes the cake. And you do realise it's a lot colder in Canberra than anywhere in NZ?

Crusaders will be happy the game is over to concentrate on the injured. Congratulations Drua for a great season and you have been a great watch, their supporters have much to be proud of.

My point is: If Fiji is too hot for the Crusaders why have the game played in NZ? Have neutral and fairer ground when it can comes to Pasifika Moana ans Drua. The difference in temperature is not that great fir Aussie teams unless there is a Northern Territory team, compared to temperatures between Christchurch iand Fiji in the same winter month.
