I don’t know who our next Wallaby coach will be but our next assistant coach should be Jim McKay. He is the one who has turned the Reds headless chicken attack around.
Is Brad Thorn our next Wallabies coach?
The Reds have made changes year after year in support and coaching staff while also experiencing a high turnover of players. They’ve been fortunate to keep a core unit but lost some good players they really could have kept.
Their fortunes have turned around only in the last 18 months. It’s not Thorn who should be getting the credit.
Jim McKay has a lot to do with the Reds attack starting to fire. A vastly more experienced coach than Thorn.
Captaincy caps O'Connor redemption
Thorn deserved a lot of the criticism he got and still gets. He’s currently enjoying the blue sky on the shoulders of very hard working support coaches and players.
His player management skills are atrocious and the first a lot of players would find out they were out of favour is when they were sent back to club.
Captaincy caps O'Connor redemption
Think the smashing of the Reds said more about the Reds than the Waratahs.
Looking forward to the Tahs’ season? Nah, yeah
Might be easier to execute a gameplan without having to worry about everyone’s favourite captain on the paddock.

Here’s an alternative. Stop feeling guilty about sandpaper gate and stop letting others make you feel guilty. Time to move on.
We’ve replaced our aggressive approach with a team of ‘decent’ blokes that can’t win a test match when it’s gift wrapped and handed to them late in day 4. Multiple times.
No other team has this issue of needing to be “decent” on the field and this self over analysing of on field behaviour has distracted players away from the primary goal of winning.
Not winning at all costs, but it seems we’re “being nice at all costs”. Nobody else besides those still feeling guilty about sandpaper gate obsess about this being “decent” chip.
Does Australia need a new Test cricket captain or a new leadership model?
Is this a parody account?
CA won't mention Australia Day to promote BBL games, and the Prime Minister has had a big whinge about it
Yeah I love politics in sport soooooooo much.

I’d prefer SBW and some surfer chick over Kearns / Kafer / Horan / Martin any day.
Stan Sport reveals subscription cost ahead of Super Rugby season
$25 a month for Stan and the Rugby is ok. It’s not a bargain, but it’s ok.
The wife will enjoy Stan. Maybe even the kids.

Talk about completely over the top reaction. You’d take his livelihood from him if you could.
Tim Paine's time as captain is done as Australia crumble to humiliation against India
It’s not about forgiving but you’re not going to forgive him.
Tim Paine's time as captain is done as Australia crumble to humiliation against India
This is exactly my point. People can’t move on from it. You can have your principles of never forgiving or you can have a champion test cricket team. That’s your choice. Every other team has had players who have been caught outside the laws of the game.
It seems some people believe there should be a perpetual public flogging of Warner and Smith every year for things that happened in the past that can’t change.
We’re only hurting ourselves with this attitude. Move on people.

Doesn’t seem like you can put aside sandpaper gate. He was better than Paine and that’s a step in the right direction.

We could have but it’s a pretty common cricket tactic to send the team in for the final session after spending the day in the field, especially hot sapping day, and then have a crack at some tired bats.
Perhaps too common for Paine. Or he just got the weather wrong… which means he didn’t listen a hundred years of meteorological data on Brisbane and rain.

We could have had India 3fa before the rain came on Day 4 and it would have been a completely different test match with a lot more pressure on.
I don’t think any ‘great’ would regret that decision… after all, they all did it at one stage.

We lost the series in Sydney Adam. We showed India we’re clueless at Day 5 bowling and they went into the Gabba test knowing they could chase down whatever they liked on Day 5 so long as they were fresh and had nothing to lose.

There won’t be any change because we’re still punishing ourselves for sandpaper gate and we can’t say sorry enough.
Paine is the burden we must carry it seems for that past indiscretion.
Not aggressive enough. Not technical enough. Not good enough.
Nothing will happen though. The media will give Paine another free pass on his failings.

If Starc should be dropped then so should all but 2 of the top and middle order batsmen.
We’re not going to improve our batting by weakening our bowling attack. Nor are we going to improve our fielding, catching or ability to apply pressure when it matters. I doubt dropping Starc is also going to improve our tactics.
It seems some are still hanging onto the get out of jail free card, even when they were the villains of the last match.
Mitchell Starc should be dropped for Brisbane
I’m not the one calling him an all rounder.
Don't dare drop them – Cameron Green and Will Pucovski deserve long Test stints
As I said free passes. Here’s another one

What a ridiculous headline trying to extract as much as it can out of a complete non-story. Whoever wrote this needs to examine their headspace.
