Gee how well are the Canes going? Pretty damn well in my opinion. I rate them and the Chiefs as the teams to beat. Yeah the Saders, Brums and Blues will be thereabouts but not quite up there. How good is Billy Proctor playing ?? A smokey for ABs No 13 ?? And Kirifi is certainly putting his hand up for an openside slot.

I know they’ve both had some injury issues - but it’s a mystery to me why the Highlanders wouldn’t have tried to recruit them as a pair. Would be really cool seeing the twins in the midfield. They dominated schoolboy rugby for Scots College as a midfield combo

Yes, that’s didn’t escape me.

By no means a full strength Clan side either. I think they would beat the Peonies in NZ, maybe not in Canberra, but it wouldn't be a foregone conclusion.

I think he means Thomas Ray, as I reckon you know!

So was Umanga-Jensen when he came on.

What I liked about this game was both teams put in some big tackles. A number of times the ball carrier got bent pack.

Thank you Faith - you said it more clearly than I did.

The score shows how dangerous the Canes attack is and how they can score. It also shows how the Clan's has faltered all season. It was a much closer game.

Billy Harmon had a great game with the Highlanders. Canes Du’Plessis Kirifi was really busy

Finally the Highlanders decide to end the game, they tried to give the Canes the bonus point.

Canes get the job done, good work by the Highlanders .

Hurricanes earned the win, albeit that the score flatters them.

Lol why would the Highlanders keep that play going?! They had nothing to gain. And now they risk handing a competition point to a rival…

Lots of no arms tackled by Canes 16

Brumbies will be hoping NZ cancel each other out to give them a chance of home final. I think the Clan on this showing can beat all Aus sides but Pones.
