The other option would be to sort out the new Rugby Centre of Excellence at La Trobe Uni... actually give it seating, etc....

The one game MP played in samoa last season attracted a small unenthusiastic crowd. Samoans don't support hybrid teams. They want their own team. The people behind MP really miscalculated the two island countries, whom though remain friendly, are fierce rivals when it comes to sport. Though remains to be seen if the game in tonga later in the season will be successful.

I do and don't. I said they never should have hired Foote as he is not up to it clearly as a coach. The rebels have just a good a roster as the Reds. The difference is the Reds have a coach.

NZ rugby has their own problems to be fair but Super Rugby isn't the product it should be and it's going to take NZ and Aus working together if they can. Moana Pasifika need a proper home and that should be a priority. They need to be playing home games out of Tonga and Samoa. Who cares if the stadium sizes are limited, the love and passion for the game will shine through. Just like the teams going to Fiji, it's just awesome. It would be like going to watch the West Indies back in the 70s and 80s, the crowds were just something else. NZ and Aus need to work together to make it happen.

I feel really bad for them. I want to see all the Oz teams doing well but pointless sugar coating it either.

Crazily Rebels could still win their next 3 games.

Any of the old VFL grounds you could easily slap a rugby pitch on there and boom. But you're right, it won't matter. The Rebels will be dissolved for 3-4 years and they will try again with a new entity when the code is more sustainable.

Well said Bodger. The best player was their 21 year old kid on debut.

Yeah agree. I wish he now had have stayed at the Reds under Kiss.

Flaming implies too much creativity. Fossilised is definitely more appropriate

The comment was what has led to this crap show..multiple parties responsible…rebels, coaches and management for sure and then for RA and nzru for this poor super rugby product designed for differing BS agendas
Lebowski

I don't think that's accurate Lr6050, I think they played more like a fossilized turd.

I don’t see how the Rebels playing like a flaming turd is New Zealand’s fault? It was a well attended match to watch the Canes

They better get out quickly then.

My wife usually falls asleep after a couple of reds watching Gardening Australia on Friday nights. I can then carefully switch to Stan and live rugby. :rugby: :stoked:

When you know you’re finished your hearts not in it despite arguments to the contrary. It’s even worse when you’re playing the top team at home.

You'd think if you could predict the future you may want to use that insight more thoughtfully. Lotto numbers?
Cec

Yeah that too. But I was thinking of the remaining 10 or so rounds. That’s if they want to be considered for WB.
