Grealy and Ryan would be small wingers but there’s no point having a big winger that can’t defend due to both poor effort and being out of position.

Guess, can you tell me what how much cardio is involved in recovery of hamstring and Achilles injuries? Can you tell me if the focus for a set piece specialist would be increased strength during that time? How would their athletic ability be around the park if managing coming back from those injuries?

What was the recommended focus during recovering from recurring hamstring and achilles injuries (not Hiit classes I’m guessing)?
If upper body training was part of it has this added to the weight?
If strength training was part of it what was the recommended diet while cardio was limited to probably bike and swimming?
If they are managing his fitness too does that include his effort areas on the field?
Was he put straight back into super rugby with no time for conditioning elements of fitness that were paused during recovery?

Talking down reds players and talking up others is standard trope on this site. Not sure why some fans can’t look at a team that can do things like beat the chiefs two years in a row and once away and go “they must be doing something right”. Thrashed the tahs and revs, beat the chiefs, drew with the canes in regular time.
The only game they’ve played poorly is the force and they were close to a come back on that one too.

Schmidt is about effort players. He won’t be looking at single games and it won’t matter if they’ve had a howler. Nearly every potential Wallabies player has had a shocking game in recent memory.
Schmidt will probably look at everyone’s best performance. He’ll opt for skill, balance and effort. Then it’ll be upto him to create a system to bring 100% effort out every time.
