The Western Force face the Hurricanes in a crucial Super Rugby match in Perth. Join The Roar for live scores from 10pm AEST.

The Force gave themselves every chance of making the finals in eighth with a bonus point garnering victory over Moana Pasifika on Tuesday night. A win coupled by a Highlanders loss to the Rebels will mean a fourth Australian team into the top eight.

Starting at scrum-half, Ian Prior has been selected as run-on captain in his historic 100th appearance for the Force.

Prior becomes just the third Force player to earn 100 caps with Matt Hodgson (140) and Pekahou Cowan (137) the only two ahead of him.

The Hurricanes will have a rather depleted side with coach Jason Holland deciding to make 11 changes to his team including resting Jordie Barrett with the flu.

Ardie Savea is back and will start on the bench.

“It’s been a crazy few weeks with flu going through our camp and we have some boys that couldn’t travel. We have built some excellent depth and have an exciting 23 for Saturday night in Perth,” Holland said.

Class. And so sensitive too. A 12 team comp with an 8 team finals series that sees teams who have won 4 and lost 8 competing for a finals spot? Silly. And Watching the European Rugby, Leinster and possibly also La Rochelle, Toulouse, Saracens would beat any Super Rugby side right now. The quality of all teams, even the Kiwis has been down. Undeniable – but who cares what I think eh.

Great game, atmosphere excellent. Heart in my mouth at the end as we lost to the Blues in the last 60 secs from a similar position.

As a WA dweller since May '99, I'm always happy to see The Force get up. But as a Highlanders supporter since '96... well, you know the story. But enjoy your buzz Drunk Piru, All the best, Drunk Eddie.

Two wins in a row, must be a long time since the Force have done that. Here’s to a Rebels win tomorrow.

TJ Perenara is an absolute legend. The way he did that interview after the game and congratulated Ian Prior and the retiring players. What a gentleman

Hard to tell, I don’t think the footage we got was conclusive either way. Have to assume the ref sees it correctly from where he is standing but, like I said, big call.

Eh, maybe. Seems pretty ridiculous when the offside players are diving over the ball as it’s available at the back for the Canes though. Terrible call and clearly should have been a Canes ball. Dubious scrum penalty before that as well. Force did well, so not salty, but disappointed at the calls at the end ruining a good finish.
