‘How else are you supposed to tackle him? … What a load of rubbish.’

Listen here Fitzsimmons What I saw was a bloke desperately try to stop a winger diving low to score. If his shoulder hit his head, it looks totally accidental. These things happen in a contact sport. On the topic of concussions, where does mea culpa come in? Should one not hold himself responsible for the choices he makes? If one doesn’t want to run the risk of getting concussion in a collision sport, let him play chess, marbles or AFL.

BTW the youtube video is on the Rugby Pass channel and has professional rugby players talking about their head injuries and concussions and how they were handled by players and medical staff, with both good and bad. You can learn from people who have been there and done it, if you're prepared to listen to them. It also has contributions from medical specialists and even a lawyer whose contribution was worthwhile. It's about 48 minutes.

None so blind as those who will not see. No problem, Pickett. You just just keep on being you, but the rest of the world might just move on and leave you behind.

People apologise for a whole bunch of things, even when they're not at fault.

Well he’s made 0 RWC finals. So Eddie is better than him based on your logic

Seven international coaches in the RWC era – seems about right IMO. Gatland’s another good example for mine, clearly a very capable coach but not sure he’s a great just yet, perhaps the Welsh would disagree.

Disagree with you. Absolute rubbish, indeed. Educate yourself. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmmTYERMCgE

I suggest you take a look at the replay and Tuilagi’s reaction – why would he apologise to North if he’d be hard done by?

I think only Steve Hansen has made more finals than Eddie Jones. Throw in a World Cup win as assistant coach to The Boks in 2007 and it's an impressive CV.

Disagree with every one of the comments. Jones was correct. An absolute rubbish decision.

So only 7 great coaches exist?

The funny thing is Tuilagi has apparently indicated he was ok with the red and Ben Youngs has said he wants players protected in such a manner, if that was him he'd want those laws applied, being there to protect him. Why Eddie can't get what his players seem capable of is disappointing.

Eddie needs to get with the program on this, it's not like it's new and his comments are really just out of line.

Wow my point was about the bad tackle , but people can’t focus on my point , because I used the word great . Touchy subject obviously amongst people with Eddie angst . Disgraceful tackle imo

Exactly. It’s a purely intentionally illegal action. Best case it is a yellow card tackle. But acting shocked that North drops in height when he charges second man into a tackle is ludicrous. There are times when two tackle simultaneously or close make contact and one accidentally gets caught high. This is not one of those cases. The fact is Tuilagi is a player that tries to knock the snot out of players with almost every tackle he makes. You can’t play like that and then claim you aren’t making reckless tackles.

England were no.1 in 2003 RWC, not NZ. Point is great coaches win finals and semi finals they don't lose finals by twenty points.

I disagree, both teams he got to finals beating the no 1 team in the semi final.

For mine Eddie's lost two RWC finals so isn't a great coach yet.
