Deceiving headline. One could be forgiven dor thinking Aistralia deserved to win thia one. The Wallabies were outplayed on Saturday, and were lucky to get a draw.
I am delighted to see the culturally correct and ever present Australian whinge about referee bias is honoured here by ... whatever this poster is named.
Shh… even though it was an all Aussie referee team we’re only allowed to talk about ref bias if it is a NZ ref. Or Gardner becomes an honorary bias ref if NZ is playing at home – because he is a “home town ref.” (but only in NZ apparently).
All Aussie ref team, Gardner (Aussie) who apparently favours the home town (Aussie)… nope, nothing to see here. All of the sudden the ‘neutral ref’ brigade is strangely silent.
Disclaimer – I actually didn’t have an issue with the reffing, it was fine enough.
Not having a neutral ref was quite marked. The referee did not ref to the spirit of the game. what was the penalty count? What was the number of rescrummaged scrums? stoppages? Morally the Argentinians won against 16 men1

Agree. Throw a neutral ref in the mix, and the winning days against Argentina will be gone.

Like Jordie Barrett. Long range kickers with not much accuracy.

Why wasn’t JOC taking these kicks? Hodge is only back up kicker for the Rebels

Gotta feel sorry for the guy, three times he could have turned draws into wins. Ouch
