Adelaide United plays its first home game of the season against defending champions Melbourne City. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:45pm (AEDT).
Only a Bruno Fornaroli wonder strike stopped Adelaide from grabbing all three points against Perth last week and frankly, they probably deserved them.
The Reds dominated possession, looked promising in attack at times and mustered a total of 15 shots on goal. Kusini Yengi looks a potential A-league star of the future and opened his account in style, whilst Isaias fitted back into the fray seamlessly.
Whilst there are many positives for the Reds to take from their start to the season, they face the awesome Melbourne City, who exploded from the gates with two first half goals against Brisbane at AAMI Park.
In the end they were lucky to win, with the Roar potentially robbed of an equaliser and Patrick Kisnorbo would have been furious that his defence allowed the visitors back into the game. He also would have been pleased with the passing flow and possession-based game his team adopted in the first half, something that looked exactly like the quality they produced on a consistent basis last season. Jamie Maclaren, Andrew Nabbout and Mathew Leckie will be desperate to get their goal tallies rolling in this one and after a late scare against the Roar, City will most likely be more than ready for the always plucky Adelaide.

It went up at about 9:30pm (AEST) last night but being that the match finished at 6pm (AEST) this is much too slow.

It was a nice cum-back from Adelaide but this just shows they have issues and on another day they would have been thrashed. And a small budget is no excuse just look at Wellington and u will see that comment is redundant.

Second lowest budget in the league this season, second game in a row a "worldie" from an opposition player has been scored as well

Alarming difference in quality but endeavour counts for something in this case a fortunate draw…. adelaide needs more investment to be contenders

Very good comeback from AU but Glover putting Bos under pressure with that short pass was ruddy mad!! Just take the goal kick and put the boot through the ball

Like many others I was watching Syd v Mac and missed the equaliser. I note that the CCM Nux replay is still not up for viewing, which means that viewers do not have the option of watching one Sat primetime game live then the next on delay straight afterwards, as is standard on other streamers. They seem to be going some kind of US-style local sport model where you watch your local team and who cares about the rest. Problem is, AL dont have near enough teams for that.
